Buyer Beware: KTJO 4X4 Driver's Side Grab Handles w/ A Pillars, HUD, and Bowl Lights

@tonered, @Malvolio, I think I have a bit of a dilemma. Ordered in 2019, cancelled in Dec 2020 and was refunded. Ordered from T Beast and received the product in Feb 2021 (shipped direct from Rainier OR). Handle installed.

Yesterday I get a text and email advising that my items have been shipped. The tracking number shows a DHL package destined for my address. What shall I do if it’s the handle I ordered 1 1/2 years ago but cancelled? Is it a gift? Is it incompetence? Do I return or attempt to sell locally? My wife says to return it. I’ll only do that if she, who shall not be named, deposits the shipping charge into my PayPal account before it goes into the mail. Decisions, decisions.

Maybe I could help out a fellow TWer with piece part?

Recently, Amazon delivered two pricey fridge filters when we only ordered one. It was hard hitting that return button, but we did.

I’ve had two other instances of the finders, keepers rule. Found a $100 bill on the floor of a car wash at 12:30 am one time. No one else in sight. On another occasion my bank placed $1300 into my account by mistake. I left it there for the bank to reclaim. They never did.

Someone told me that a bank will make good their mistake to the intended customer but never acknowledge the mistake. I wonder if the amount of the error would make a difference?

My wife just got a cutter to make iron-ons and such. I've been wanting a sticker there for a while. It was her first try. Nailed it, IMHO, even the slight kerning problem for the 'ed,' which was weird because she had a kerning font. The 'ed' stands for our girls, so it works that way.

 

I believe I have heard about them asking for the money back. But, it might have been a Lex Luthor situation. They rounded too many pennies to notice?

 

Ideas:

1. Join the Human Centipede Giveaway thread (Post 3975 details what to do) and make it part of your package. I just learned about that deal, missed the last sesh, but am gathering up some excellent stuff for the next round.

2. Take the "relative" high road and try to get KTJO to give you a shipping label so you could send it back; but add some weird stuff in the box so she gets a surprise! Share what you sent on this thread, of course! Pictures!

3. Get out your precision engraver or heat pen or whatever and make yours SUPER CUSTOM: droopy TRD logos, tired nostalgic quotes from Back to the Future, whatever. Then bolt it to your rock wall you have in your garage and practice your chinups!. Oooh, I wish I had an extra one for my rock wall!

I mean, whatever. She's an organizational sarlacc pit, so act accordingly.

I was mostly thinking of the batshit tentacle action. That's what I imagine it's like back at KTJO HQ. Burping. Frantic tentacle shit. Brian running around and falling off the sail barge.

I like #3 but I don’t have a garage wall, and, at my age chin ups have pretty much gone by the wayside.

 

Every so often I check the DHL tracking and it lools like it’s been sitting in their Cincinatti hub waiting, waiting.. I’m glad I don’t give a shit this time around. However, if it ever does arrive I’m keeping as a souvenier. Unless someone local wants it.

 

Save it for TW meetups and hand it around as the conch. No conch, no talkie.
