I’ll cross over 2000 miles driving home tomorrow in my truck. The TRD lift kit makes this thing look amazing but probably contributes a bit to it being a little wearing on longer (5 hours plus) interstate trips. I def stick close to the speed limit and anything over 75-78mph increased road noise pretty markedly. All that being said…..I’m in love with this truck. I had it polished and ceramic coated while on vacation and it looks amazing.

TL;DR - not an ideal highway road trip cruiser but looks amazing and great all-terrain abilities for my uses. I’d def buy it again, but we’ll be taking my fiancé’s Acura on highway trips in the future as long as we don’t bring our dogs.

I don’t know. I took my taco on 4-5 hour road trips and I always felt super comfortable.

Are the Michelins noisier than the stock tires above 75 mph?

I'm curious as well. I thought these LTX A/Ts were supposed to be worth the extra coin for their road manners.

I’d actually say my Sport isn’t all that uncomfortable. Not as nice as my previous Tundra and our Crosstrek is light years ahead but truck to truck comparison it sure beats this on the highway! 75 MPH on a 375,000 mile 5.8 Windsor and equally as many on the 4 speed combined with solid axles, super stiff suspension and 70+ PSI tires and a bench seat with no adjustments make the Tacoma look like a cloud. Lol.

Can’t quite do this with the Taco though.

Looking at your nice new coated paint though makes my 5 year old 80K mile auto washed rock chipped paint look horrible. I’d do something about it but it wouldn’t be cheap.

I'll see your bench seat and raise you duct tape, crank windows, no AC.

So I put these tires/wheels on the truck at around 250 miles or so. The first 250 miles were driving home on back roads from the dealership at speeds of 45-55mph with the stock Goodyears. That being said, these Michelins don't howl or ride super rough compared to other (full size) trucks I've been in. I bought them because I wanted a little off-road capability but drive on the pavement the overwhelming majority of the time. Plus, I've replaced almost every tire I've had on previous vehicles with Michelins. My criticism - really more just observations - about the ride of this truck on the highway should be considered knowing that my previous vehicles have been BMW and Lexus sedans. So right there, even with the best riding truck, it will be very different as far as comfort.

You have a power driver's seat in your 2020, so it will do nothing for you since you can already adjust the angle of the seat bottom. However, a set for the front passenger seat wouldn't be a bad idea if that seat is frequently occupied.

I was about to say that. My old C1500HD would just about send your head through the roof going over railroad tracks if you were not buckled. I guess I've had hoopties long enough to think my Taco rides like a Cadillac lol.
