So if you're right, you want apologies. And if you're wrong, oh well?

That's pretty awesome. I need to try that at work.

    I love oil change threads.

Haha you come in here insulting people, dismissing others OPINIONS, and claiming only you are correct. This is why oil threads are shit shows, all it takes is one know it all to shit on it. Grow the fuck up.

FWIW, I also change mine at 7500k because of the short distance driving, but I don't claim that those who do 10k are fucking retarded and their engines are gonna explode.

    Lock in 3,2,1...

According to the manual (page 69), “due to the chick magnet scoop on the sport the owner will be too busy with extra curricular activities to have time to change his own oil”

No, if I'm right, no harm done. If I'm wrong, no harm done. Why is that so hard for you to understand?

I'm not telling folks to change their oil at >10k miles. So if anyone takes my advice, the worse thing could be a cleaner engine.

So you have nothing to support your statements, and I'm an idiot because you're a real enthusiast?

    Cool story.

So if it doesn't matter when anyone changes their oil, why are you getting belligerent and calling people things like douchebag?

I'm so confused as to what's going on here.

That's partially true about the skewp. You are too busy "making time" with one skewp grewpie to change the oil. But the other ones waiting their turn are more than glad to change the oil for you. And usually one of them is happy to buy the oil and filter to bump up in line.

This is the main reason I got a Sport. I like to change my oil every month or 1000 miles whichever comes first. I couldn't afford to do that with a non-skewped Tacoma.

And for those of you using 10,000 mile oil change interval recommended by Toyota...well...it's your funeral pal.

Just to be clear. If someone wants to change their oil more often, no issue from me. I don't think you need to.

Tell people that they know better than the company that built the thing without some datat/info to back it up? Well, that's just silly.

Lots to unpack here. First apologies for mispronouncing skewp. I like the daisy chain of willing and able oil change sycophants. Must see pics if they are road worthy. Lastly changing oil at 1000 miles is excellent, please promote…wait let me buy stock in the company first.
(Thanks for bringing the humor up in this thread, it was going postal)

There's what, a 1-in-5 chance the timing cover will leak within 60,000 miles requiring an engine-out teardown? It'll be a good opportunity to inspect the internals for sludging at that time.

The OP asked a question, I and others responded. I posted a good video on the subject. Then the douchebags chime in telling me and others that were wrong,
Turning the whole thing into a sh*t match.

I never claimed to be right or wrong, I just posted a video. Once the Aholes chimed in, I went on the defensive, as I do when attacked.

I call a spade a spade, if this confused you, oh well.

Whats even better is that you have actual proof that 10k intervals work for you. Yet he's still spouting his shit opinion as fact with real tangible proof he's wrong a click away. Unreal. Oil threads are great.

Oil changes make the dumbest threads on the internet. Everyone argues and nearly nobody blows an engine.
