Ryan, dont see an easy way to do that in a popup camper. I read about a guy that installed a tiny wood burning stove in a popup, but he has to disassemble the chimney to lower the roof, so not practical unless U stay in one spot for many days.

It’s not hard to install a propane system in your Fleet. We have a fleet flatbed with Dometic appliances. I agree With your assessment that the fleet itself is great quality. the appliances... well they’re bad. Both of our Fanastic fans (a few years ago bought by Dometic) have had their gears stripped. FWC dealer told me this is a common problem. My furnace (Dometic, they also bought Atwood) oh my God! It worked up until this past November and then seemed to work only on warm nights and went on strike on cold ones. Dometic finally agreed to replace it under warranty in early December when two shops couldn’t fix it after I spent $500 out-of-pocket. I’m still waiting for it to arrive two months later and My wife and I live in our camper full time. Stay away from them. I’d love to take them to small claims court

Sorry if I muffed the punt. I was referring to the heater/furnace install @Voltron4x4 did with a unit like the one found here.

Wanted to follow up on my hub-to-fender thread for a 111 leaf pack. @Dcsleeper408 installed the 111 leaf pack on my 3rd gen Taco. Like @RyanDCLB I also see rear hub-to-fender 24.75 to 25" measurements (fresh install, no settling). Once the Fleet goes on the bed, hope the sag will drop the rear to around 22" which will line up with my 21.5" h2f front measurements, hence requiring less air pressure needed for the airbags.

your setup looks sweet, what roof rack are you running? did you have to mod it at all to fit under the cabover part of the camper?

Thanks. It’s @victory4x4. I didn’t need to modify it and it has more clearance that it seems from the photos.

Just a heads up. Going to be listing my 2018 FWC Swift for sale. Reading the B/S/T rules, I need to gather a few things first... but will post it up later this weekend once I can meet the requirements.

Can’t believe i never noticed this thread. A bit late to the show.

well I own a 2017, fully loaded. Fridge, stove, heater, solar, dual batteries, sink and running water with in boat water take of 20 gallons. I have a ghetto a/c window shaker I build and sometimes use. Been on a few trips around the country, I’m that crazy guy that took my camper down black bear pass in 2018.

Welcome @Marco.0780! We must of the same crazy mind! In September of 2020, we took our truck/camper up and over the nearby Imogene Pass, 13,100’. Some modified Jeep owners nearly got whiplash seeing our truck up there

As much as it was a challenge, once with this heavy setup was plenty

Exactly what we were hoping but camping has been banned up there for a while and we didn’t want to chance it. But it’s not like a law enforcement officer would be patrolling it in the morning...

That’s is ballzy. I did black bear on a motorcycle and that was scary enough. Getting around the hairpins must have been fun.

The worst/best place I’ve been with my FWC Project M was the Doll House in Canyonlands Nat Park.

Actually most of the sharp turns weren’t bad for the Taco and they weren’t exactly tight squeezes. You just may have had to back up if some one came around the corner. The most challenging was the off angle slopes

Got some great pics cause my wife was too scared to ride!

I never felt like we were going to tip over but I wondered...

I asked about Doll House when we were there at Canyonlands and the ranger thought the squeezes would be really tight for the camper, so we backed off

No issues getting out there and no issues with width. One tight turn with drop off that made me pucker a bit, lots of rock piling, used the rear locker a bunch, extremely slow going, 18 miles from Tea Pot Rock Camp took all day. 3 hours to do first 6 miles. This is the worst section. People I went with where impressed how well the Taco handled it.

Same experience when seeing other vehicles. Jeepers gave us the double take when they saw us coming.

looks fun and technical. Imogene was more of a steep hill climb. Lockers definitely help creep over stuff with minimal wheel spin.

Any one know the current lead time on a Project M if ordered now? I've been hearing around 4 months to 1 year for FWC stuff.....

Welp, I guess I won't be listing it here. Sold it. Going to miss the Swift but the buyers looked excited, so I know it went to a good home. :D
