Are there any instructions to where exactly the rear camera video sources is by the driver side kick panel?

I already ran a wire to the reverse signal, but I don't know where the video source is. Any help is appreciated - I don't want to install/wire a whole new camera!

I ran my OEM backup camera to my Joying Headunit without a Voltage converter and its been fine for about a month now. I personally think the voltage converter is a waste of time/money.

Good to know! Was your factory camera display in the rearview mirror?

It was not. It was in fact wired into my Entune OEM headunit. Not sure if that will make a difference though.

By no means am I an electrician so take that with a grain of salt. But I've definitely read others post about not having any issues months down the line without the voltage converter.

Hey all - So I installed the front cam to the FCAM input on my Dasaita head unit. The camera works great, good reception and it comes on manually when I select FCAM on the Home Screen. I noticed the Dasaita has a DVR option - I asked Iris if I can use the FCAM to link with the DVR and she said no... so Im wondering, 1) does anyone know which input the DVR runs off of? and 2) If I ran an simple RCA splitter from my front camera RCA to the FCAM and whichever input the DVR uses, would that work (theoretically?) It's been about 20 years since I've done any real car audio / electronics - so Im a bit rusty.

Right on, I love having the cams so easily accessable. I have two mounted for blind spots + dual dash cam.

Also, the DVR is a cam not a separate entity. I thought the same thing in the past and was kind of annoyed when I found that out. Here's the link:

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077QP2373/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_BEVGBFCA5363BD4XSX6T

They also pulled it from their store so... Ya...

Just get a dash cam. Probably more reliable in the long run.

Awesome set up! Thanks for the tip. That’s a bummer, it would be so easy for them to use some of the onboard storage for a dashcam DVR! Oh well!

Ive had this hu display in my browser tabs on Seicanes website ever since I think it was xsp-x did a little write up on it. When I get it, I doubt I'll end being the one ripping my dash apart, prolly just drop it off somewhere and have them do it. Ive got a 12 with no entune display, would I need anything else to make this work?

From what I can tell, the Dasaita HU has some proprietary options that are meant to work directly with their MCU and controller architecture design. They have (or had) a DVR, TV (ATSC), DAB and TPMS solution that would integrate with their HU. I'm not certain what the value would be with that level of integration as I was not super impressed with the software solutions they offered standard for their HU. However one good thing about the Android universe is there are a lot of different options to give you a solution to your needs. I use an aftermarket TPMS solution with the screw-on sensors (up to debate if that's the "proper" way to go, but I'm pleased after 5+ months with it). Great to have temperature along with the PSI for each individual tire. There is no DAB in the states so that may be of interest to the rest of the world. The TV seems like a solution in search of problem. but I do have to admit to watching an Astro's game with PLEX while tethered to my phone hotspot. I know there are some DVR solutions, but what I was really wanting was something that could keep watch after I turned off the vehicle. I don't know if the Dasaita DVR would provide a standby operating option, but that would be the only thing that might be beneficial over a generic DVR software solution using an independent front/rear camera option.

min pretty happy with the way it’s working overall. The DVR on the FCAM would have been a nice touch but not a deal breaker. Thanks for posting! Great info - good to know about the screw on TPMS, may be a good secondary add on to the OEM tpms system. TV doesn’t seem necessary with internet nowadays, he’ll I don’t even have TV at home! I would also love a DVR that would record while I’m gone! Let me know if you find a decent solution. They have some but $$$.

Anybody noticing a delay with the rear camera? Its suddenly showing a yellow triangle with an exclamation point for about 30 seconds before it will kick on. It does eventually work, do it doesn't seem to be the connection. I have seen this on the stock ROM as well as malaysk.

Question for all of you using any version of these android units, how does it sound and what kinds of sound options are there? My Kenwood is pretty old and is starting to get glitches so I’m looking for replacement.

The best thing about it are the sound options, especially the sound stage effects. I have to set so it sounds like my speakers are almost at ear level instead of down low in the doors. Do these android units have anything similar?

FYI, received this from Iris. May give it a try to see if it works.

Does the Agama car launcher interface with Zlink/Apple Carplay? Or does it just rely on bluetooth and/or wifi to connect to the mobile device directly?

It acts like it's own app which you can access from Agama like any other, but it doesn't know agama exists. I had to disable auto start on it though, because it will just keep popping up on top of Agama if not.

What are y'all using for a FM/AM radio app? The pre loaded one isn't great...
