Looking to add new rear bumps, just not sure what direction I want to go. I was on Wheelers yesterday & was going to order the Timbren active offroad set up with super bump fronts, but then started looking at the Icon hydros then ended up on Accutunes site, so I'm all over the board on this. Right now I've got Airlift bags but I'm destroying the kit with the amount of travel my truck has. I like the Timbren for cost, easy install & zero maintenance. I like the hydros for the possible performance increase. What are your thoughts?

Have you seen Durobumps? I bought some for my fronts and like them, probably going to order some rears as well from them.

Wheelers super bump with Flip kit love the clean look underneath. Great for off-roading

Hydro bump with bolt on can to replace existing stock pad . Icon kit or anything else (fox , locked) .
For me adding hydro bumps was one of the most noticeable differences in the trucks ride . I’m sure most people respect their trucks off road but who wants to slow down to a turtle crawl when you can keep your speed up for woops, ditches or step ups. With out a hydro bump these events would kick the rear end up hard and bad (worse than the front end bottoming out due to laws of vehicle dynamics) . Now it’s a lot less bucking and more planted.
It obviously depends on your vehicle driving style or what you intend on doing . I do 90% desert trails when it’s not the Daily driver ,so it made a big difference in my case. Almost all my mods thus far are for “oh shit” moments in the desert. Revalved 2.5 remote resi that are way too stiff for road comfort. All uniball camburg upper / lower arms , lower sub frame reinforced and soon tundra steering rack. I’ve had several long travel trucks and I know what’s possible , but for a dd a midtravel truck with the right mods (bumps) can be practical and not break while beating.

May we recommend our SES system. It's another replacement for airbags if you tow with your vehicle at all. Designed to help maintain a level stance while under load and not active when unloaded. Now if you don't do any towing then our active offroad setup will be a great replacement!

Originally I went with the airbags because I was towing my enclosed snowmobile trailer with it in the winter, but when I put my aluminum rear bumper on I didn't feel good about the way allpro mounted the hitch so I don't really do that any more, so towing duty's are very little for the tacoma at this point. Thanks for the responses!

I third the flip kit and yellow bumps from Archive. I'm very happy with mine, had them on for almost a year.

I have the Timbren SES system. I've had them since 2017, no problems and would purchase again.

Update, I went with Durobump, figured for the multiple suggestions, $$$ & ease of install they were worth a try. Very nice product, excellent hardware included, front & rear install was a piece of cake. I'll try to get out & give her a whipping this weekend for a field report, thanks for the input

There's a link in post #3 to the site. They definitely work, the only complaint I have is I'm getting excessive rebound in the rear now. So when my shocks go back to Accutune for service I'll have them slow down the rebound a bit in the rear
