Is Entune no longer a thing?

I purchased a 2020 tacoma pro back in October but never understood Entune and the dealer told me to just use apple car play. Ive seen previous 3rd gens being able to upload photos from the internet onto a usb then onto your truck but i’ve seen you might need Entune? It’s no longer an app on the store.

    Short story:
Im trying to upload photos using my usb but it isn’t showing me the option and im wondering if they got rid of it for the 2020’s.

    thanks in advance

Your headunit is an Entune 3.0 headunit. That’s all I know

I hope entune and Android auto no longer exist. What ever the reason some people like it, I don't care. Just bring back the integrated navigation. Like my 21 OR, the dealer said there's no integrated navigation for it.

Amazing site! Setting up a beer pong tournament?

I tried to do the same on my 2020 - I think you can only upload pics on either the upgraded JBL stereo, or whichever one has the touchscreen option - not the stock one. Here's a vid I tried following the options weren't available on my head unit. Not sure about the nomenclature, BUT... my unit doesn't have touchscreen options on the side - they're button selections see the three images below. Thanks @TacoTim85 - used one of your pics. I THINK, you need whatever radio has those touchscreen options & not the buttons. Clear as mud? Hope this helps.

My '21 has navigation built into the truck. It's decent when I don't want to hook the phone up but Android Auto and Google Maps is 100% better.

Android Auto is far superior to the onboard navigation (if you have service). The onboard navigation is ok but not great. I wish my 2017 had Android Auto.

I have 3 systems and still have them. Android auto is better then entune for sure. Android auto and integrate gps has its pro/con. I'm still wanting integrated gps b/c I can be in area with no cell signal and still navigate. I know you can buy a Garmin unit for that purpose. But I want an integrated gps unit. If map is out of date for some place, I'll use my phone or update it. It's costly for update, but I want integrated gps.

For my 21 Tacoma, I asked the dealer if they have integrated gps and they said nope. They just don't make it. For my 17 Tacoma, they give me an option and I pick integrated gps. My 07 sienna, I was cheap so I didn't get it.

Ur 21 Tacoma has navigation built in? What? I ask the dealer when I got my 21 and they said they don't make them. I must agree Google map w/ Android auto is better then the integrated. But I still like the integrated gps as my main.

    Check build thread!
My 2021 most definitely does have integrated Nav. Your dealer lied to you. Some TRD Sport, TRD Sport Premium, TRD Off-road, TRD Off-road Premium and Limited/Nightshades should have it (depends on what options it has). My TRD Off-road Access Cab (non premium, as Access cab isn't available with premium package) has Nav.

Mine is a TRD OR 4x4, I ask them to look for one w/ integrated gps or put it in the truck I'm looking at. They said there's no integrated, only Android auto. Lie or not, too late now.

Yes, it is definitely a nice option for areas of poor service and for saving your phone battery. But in my experience it is kind of wonky with directions. For example, I was in the Upper Peninsula of MI and trying to get directions to a local brewery I've been to several times (I just didn't know how to get there off the top of my head). It zig-zagged me through town instead of taking me straight there. There are other examples too

The 21s have option for nav on premium models. Info is in the whole separate "audio and navigation" manual in your glove box.

My dealer told me the same thing for my 2021 TRD Sport 4x4. I don't have intergrated maps, or much of anything on my system related to apps. Kinda disappointing that I have to plug in phone via cord for Android Auto. I'd be more okay with it if it were wireless Android Auto. My wife's intergrated system in her 2018 Highlander is way more robust and user friendly. Just my opinion...

I have built-in nav in my 21 Sport also. This is from the build sheet online: "EE Premium Audio, Dynamic Navigation with 3-Year Trial, Remote Connect with 1-Year Trial, Destination Assist with 1-Year Trial, and Service Connect with 10-Year Trial". It's not the JBL audio, it's an intermediate premium audio package above the base audio but below the JBL. The nav has worked perfectly well for my purposes so far.

That is what I do anywhere I am traveling, (download off line maps) I hated the integrated navigation Toyotas version is the worst of any car I have owned. Love the apple car play, and I am sure the next gen will have wireless CarPlay. I use goggle maps for every day navigation needs and a dedicated Garmin or iPad for more complicated routes and back up.
