I get a kick out of people that use loctite on everything. Torque the shit out of it like a man and theres a damn good chance its not gonna come loose.

I think the only thing I consistently use loctite on is optics :infantry:

I'm not here to bash their product, or their business, I just wouldn't spend my money with them. Not my cup of tea. I'm a certified welder, stick, mig, and tig for back when I did race car things and always needed to weld a bracket or something. I'm sure their products pass for what they need to do, but they are not pretty. Maybe pretty isn't necessary, but most of my long term friends are car guys, who have all branched out and started fabrication shops. One of my best friends has one of the biggest Mustang shops in the country, and is probably top 10 race car fabricator in the country. So yes, I have room to talk, I'm used to seeing top 1% stuff and that's what I like. Not saying I would pay for my buddy to weld me up a bumper, but options exist for somewhere between BUTT FUGLY and BOUTIQUE GLAMIS RIG FABRICATION.

Prime example is the Warfab hitch skid, vs the DRT hitch skid seen here... I'm sure they do the exact same thing, I'm sure nobody can really break either one, but one sure as fuck looks better to me than the other:

So youre gonna compare stainless tig welding done in a highly customized environment to production mig welding? Hate to break it to you, but if thats your standard then you'll never find an armor supplier to live up to it. The welds on that link look A-ok to me.

Top 10 race car fabricators in the country huh...... what's his name? Because if he's that good I should know him or know of him. Having that kind of clout.

Not here to bash yet you did by saying their shit is heavy and the welds. And again with this long post you passive aggressively did. Sooooooo I mean if you're gonna bash be a man and do so to their face.

Have you held or seen their bumpers in persob??? I doubt it or you'd think otherwise. I have and they are by far much lighter than anything else on the market.

Not to mention purged on the inside no root weld Yada Yada Yada. But you know a certified welder should know all that stuff.

As someone who carried an AWS cert for a year before they wanted me to pay to retest, "certified"=bullshit. No employer on Gods green earth couldnt care less about any cert you bring to the table at an interview. All they care about is wether or not you pass their test.

Considering pipeline welders have to recert at every new job and a main one once a yr that's about right.

Welding is quite the hot topic tonight. Sparking quite the debate. It’s a real meltdown in here….other welding-related puns.
