Good looking out. I didn’t reach out to him he said the skid was for short bed access cab. And wouldn’t work with a double cab long bed. But doesn’t the access cab have a 6 foot bed?

He said short bed OR access cab compatible, which both share the same frame so the skid will work on either. DCLB is different, hence why it wouldn't work.

Been a while since I've been on here thanks to life, but wanted to check in with you guys for a question. Coworkers of mine are looking at going out to Flagpole in the coming weeks and I've never been out there.

Is there a trailhead you guys normally use? I found the one listed on the .gov site for flagpole but I know there are a few routes with some being more maintained than others.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

The fun way is up Union Springs Road. The middle easy way is Switzer Lake Road, off Rt 33, this isn't a bad route. The easiest way is up Briery Branch Road, you turn right at the saddle onto a dirt road north up the mountain (not down the mountain into WV or south up the paved road to reddish knob). It all depends on how much time you have and what everyone is driving. I can do all of them in my stock height truck.

Thanks for this! Was exactly what I was looking for. There's 3 of us, I'm in the Taco with MTs, have a Colorado ZR2, and an FX4 Ranger. All of us have experience wheeling, so weather permitting we'll likely give union springs a go.

There are a bunch folks in the Maryland group putting together a trip to go up to AOAA next weekend. If anyone is interested.

Up union and down Switzer is a good way to go if you want to see both and/or feel like stopping off at the lake.

Anybody want some morimoto amber fog lights? Sold my truck a while back and stumbled across them. Threw them on FB but thought I'd get some better luck here. Have em listed for $75, shoot me an offer.

"Bought in December 2018 for my 2016 Taco. Ran them for about 15 months then sold the Taco for a Tundra. Have been sitting on a shelf since April ‘20. Website says they’ll fit 2012-2021 Taco or 2014-2021 Tundra as long as you don’t have OEM LED fogs. More than willing to test them on your truck if you’d like. Note: these are amber LEDs, not white."

I’m not sure you can see, but the silver Tacoma with the new plates had a Hilux badge on the tailgate, haha

Last call on any of this (-trailer). Stock crappy skids, one good predator step, stock leafs with about 30k. DM me if you want me to save anything before I take it to the dump.

Newest and oldest toy, 1990 xr100 that I’ve had since I was a kid. I’m hoping it doesn’t end up at the dump too haha. Has spark & air… should have fuel and trying to figure out compression this weekend. :fingerscrossed:

I’m just tired of it taking up space.
Dump = 5mins round trip, Scrap = 35mins one way.
