Anytime Front and Rear Camera Mod

Has anyone managed to mount this on the OEM TRD Pro grill? I have a 21 TRD OR and don’t have a front camera so I have a blank for the OEM camera. It appears I’ll have to just drill above the TSS, which would be weird looking. Any suggestions? PS the grill came with the TRD Lift Kit, so that’s why I have it.

 

I have a camera mount for two different cameras for the newer pro grille with camera hole. I tried working on a third, but not liked anything so far with it. This thread has some pics from me and others that have done it.

Has anyone had trouble with the cameras? I’ve had two nakita’s crap out. First one the guy replaced it and now I just bought a nakita from Amazon. I did notice the first two weren’t branded nakita on the polished metal part but the amazon one is. Also the one from Amazon has a much longer lead with the rc cable then the other two. I live in wa, state and wonder if it’s water getting in. The newest one I used rtv when mounting it plus a bead on the reveal.

i bought the premium front cam, and it needs to be zoomed in. the image is distant and very misleading. anyone know how to zoom in on the feed?

also has anyone been able to record the front and rear video feeds? that would also be interesting if there is a 3rd party nvr.

Are there any detailed guides for step by step how to install the anytime backup camera relocation kit? (I have a RIGd Supply Tire Swing) I've searched everywhere and nothing is really clear to me..or maybe I'm just super slow. Please help, anyone.

 

Just installed the Anytime camera a couple days ago. Worked out great on the factory Off Road grille and a bracket I bought from Taco Garage.

One question though for those that have it. When you turn on the front camera then flip it off, does it display the rear camera for a split second?
It is doing that with mine—displays the rear for a split second then cuts off. Not a big deal to me but thought I’d check.

 

mine does the same, does yours do the following also...
hit the front switch and lights up both the front and rear led light?
is your front camera zoomed way out?

Yes, that is normal. That was discussed, don’t remember the explanation.

 

I think the rear OEM camera has power all the time. If that is the case then it would make sense that video would be there for a second when the relay for front camera input is released.

Anyone have an issue where the rear backup camera only comes on intermittently when putting in reverse? 90% of the time the rear camera comes up when in reverse. Sometimes, I turn off the truck, let the infortainment screen load up again before trying to again and this can work, while others times it makes no difference. Never have any issues displaying the front camera.
