    What did your Milwaukee do today?

    Mine helped prepare our club's 1912 Sawyer-Massey steam traction engine to receive new boiler tubes:



    Cleaning burs and tool marks off of the front face of the tubesheet to ensure the tubes roll in smooth and tight

    Are you leaving the few tubes that haven't been removed? At this point I'd replace them all. There are some really good coatings you can apply to the tubesheet to prevent future corrosion.

    Those tubes are being left; we'd replaced those seven, I went to put a squeeze on the boiler and another tube let go, at which point I said "Fuck it, THEY all get done". Those tubes have never even been fired.
