You need aircraft-size tires to drive on an airstrip, right? :p

Aircraft tires come in all sizes as you can imagine. The regional jets that could conceivably use that airstrip would have tires in the 29"-31" range.

Would you like to hear about the unregulated aircraft tire retread business?

The checklist of checking this noise?

Hwy 805 seems to have loosened something up in the front end. I noticed on the way back from this weekends trip there was a clunk that was happening on tighter slower corners or parking lot maneuvering. Backing up slowly in the driveway (slight uphill slope) I was able to reproduce at about 1/2 to 1 turn in each direction. May have heard this on slower rough sections but there was too may other noises of crap in the truck to say for sure.

Items that are currently on my checklist:
Steering rack loose - wont happen turning when stationary so maybe not? will check bolts anyway
Upper and lower BJ's - Early stages but still not enough for vibrations or poor feeling alignment
Upper CA mounts - no reason not to suspect

has anyone wired up an inverter into the cab straight from the battery? i have mid-range 500w inverter currently hooked up to cig lighter. effectively useless as is. looking to hardwire for the 3x power that will give. it has a built-in power switch and auto shut-off. is that safe enough to not have another fuse on the battery leads? and would 10' of 5awg be sufficient?

the alternative is doing the 400w anytime and adding an outlet to the console. that seems like slightly more work and more permanent wire-cutting but also maybe safer

Just to confirm these are the same as the "front body mount bushings' that are in front of the front wheels? Just put in the energy kit early in the season. Ill give them a double check now anyways.

That’s how my truck Came however I cut the Toyota part off and blacked it out. This badge was on the upper door panel stock.

The tailgate had soft cushiony raised emblems that I blacked out 10 years ago and they have held up well. It was a tedious process painting them because they cannot be removed like the hard emblems. It is interesting to note on the 2001 to 2004 TACOS the raised tailgate emblems were only available on US models….. Canadian models had decals on the tailgate!!

I like mine because it’s kind of old school on the tailgate.

If you are running that big of power wire I would be fusing at the battery like you would for a stereo amp.
Can never be too safe when it comes to electricity.

500W inverter output if the battery gets down to 11V minimum will require a 60A** fuse and wire gauge to match.

11V / 500W = 45.45A - As the battery voltage drops the current draw from the battery will increase. EDIT NOTE: this minimum voltage is the voltage at the inverter so voltage drop across the cable should also be accounted for if you really want to get accurate or planning on a long run (ie. 50A through ~10ft of 4AWG is 0.3V drop connections at terminals and fuse contacts will all a little more).

Assume 85% inverter efficiency (unless stated otherwise by the manufacturer)

    45.45A/0.85 = 53.5A fuse minimum, round up to 60A.

**if you never intend on maxing out the inverter if , you could probably get away with a 50A circuit if that's all that's available.
