Here's a bit better idea, the sig cuts things off. I should have also mentioned that I could have gone around... but I gave a good smack on the gas and went through the middle :D If I took it slow it probably wouldn't even been as deep as the bottom of the axle.

    Sig_3ef17d525487394c69157ef2ecb24cb464145723.jpg

I'm far more concerned with snow levels and slickness.

I'm NEVER in a hurry. I don't care how long we take as long as it's safe. If I didn't see 3 vehicles go before me, I would have stopped everything and performed the stick test on that puddle.

What prevents you from sucking in buttloads of sand?

    Here's my expectations:

And this is the only part that really worries me. In the pic, the guy wasn't watching the road and veered to the right, but it took a winch to get him back on. I ran stock tires and made it fine.

we can always drive out there and turn right back around as well if we aren't feeling good about it. I'm probably the first one who says no to things.

I take it we are still meeting at cornhole pass freddy's around 9am?? I will need to get a pass... Wheres the best place to pick one up on that side of town??

Most places are going to be closed until 9am.

If you can grab one tonight, I think Cedar Mountain Cycles in Molalla is going to be closest.

If you need one day of, we can try Motosport of Hillsboro. Like I said, the Shell station tends to run out.

i need to try and pick up a map. Trying to find your way around the park sucks, even with the map, and the GPS doesn't have the trails on it. Always a hassle, meh.

sounds like we dropped two, both of who changed their minds, and also added a 5th?

anyways I'll be at fred meyer in the am so look forward to seeing you all there. Sounds like everyone is bringing some minor recovery as well as some tools extinguishers etc. I'm going to leave my tools considering the size of my set and no external tool box, as long as someone doesn't mind the very slight possibility of use. Anyways, glad this has come together. I'll check back later and see what others have to say. I'm also going to see if I can find my map of tsf or something online.

    cheers

Hey all. New to this forum, but I've been on TTORA for awhile and heard about your run today on there. I'm going to try to make it.

Here's how the snow has been the last three weekends.

Hey Bob. Glad to see you on here. I'm mainly on here now that I'm back from socal and the oregon ttora is a ghost town. Wish I can make it tomorrow just to get out but I had no luck getting a permit today. Just means I gotta go some other time. Hopefully next time it will be as good of a turn out as this one.

Oh yeah, have fun on KOH!! Looks like it'll be fun as shit. Should check out the socal ttora folks if you and your buddies wanna hang out with them. I've met some of them and they're pretty chill folks.

Looks like a quite a bit of snow, as well as fun. haven't been to browns for a year or so and will be the first time up there with the tacoma. we'll see how it goes, hoping for a good day of some light wheeling. see everyone tomorrow.

Yea, the Oregon ttora is dead haha. Saw your post about the permit. That sucks. I ended up getting mine at the John Deere dealership in McMinnville.

I plan on checking out the socal guys at some point. Just depends on what's going on with the group I'm with.

Wow, wasn't expecting this run to generate so much turn out. Nice.

Nice to see you here Bobert14, I've seen some of your posts on TTORA. I think you are definitely going to be the most seasoned offroader, so if you don't mind I'll ask for you to take lead and help the rest of us.

Sorry about the permit, Joe. On the bright side, you don't have to put a gay pink sticker on your truck, lol.

Ha yeah when the lady pulled out the book of permits my first thought was "wonder what color they are now" FIGURES they'd be pink. Also glad to see a group of tacos should be good times.
