Customer support notification about rusting frame. Anyone else?

My owners page does not show any recalls.

 

You do realize this is a thread in the 3rd gen section regarding frames on 16-17 Tacos for trucks in northern state owned trucks right?

Your sig says you have a 15. I'm not sure how much info you can gather here.

If you do not have the little red triangle alert on your Toyota Owners page, then your truck is not included. As a 15 wouldn't be... What state do you live in?

 

My 2004 Tacoma was rusted enough to qualify for a new frame after only 7 years although I primarily used a hard coat and didn't keep on top of it. I've now seen the light and only apply a soft coat and reapply it once a year.

where did you go? It’s getting close to 2 years since I got the letter and looking to get it inspected. I’m the the twin cities area

Ha that’s where I bought mine…just didn’t want to drive that far

 

I had the frame on my 16 inspected and sprayed last month. I had to drop it off at the dealership before they closed and they inspected and sprayed the next day. There’s some surface rust on the outside of the frame that I’m not happy with. Going to Por 15 those spots in the fall and then take it to Krown after.

 

You guys get a free loaner while they do the CRC?

 

I didn’t ask for one. My daughter drove it to the dealership and I drove my first Gen behind.
