I don't think it's clutch dust. I believe it is aluminum partials as the piston spins in the housing. Look at the pics from page one.

In my case its clutch dust as it was very fine and black-ish in color.. I did however have some aluminum slivers come up to my clutch res at one point. Pretty distinguishable ...

Mine was black as well. I fail to see how clutch dust will get past a dust seal and a hydraulic seal.

I took mine apart then re-assembled prior to install.
Not sure if I lubed the rubber pieces or not.

I've noticed some squeaking lately. During my last bleed fluid was clear yellow.
    But the squeaking was:
    -short
    -faint
-might even be from my accessory drive rotating components
-was only really heard next to a big wall that reflected sound off the truck
-nowhere near as bad as the stock parts that prompted trans removal

So, still working for now but, no idea if it's constantly riding the pressure plate/pre-loaded; haven't taken the time yet to remove bellhousing inspection cover and watch how it looks spinning

I just got mine installed about 300 miles ago... seemed to be fine until tonight. Had URD heavy flywheel and stage II clutch installed with CM hydro bearing and a new master cylinder as the old one crapped out prompting install of parts. However tonight, as I was shifting into 6th on the highway pedal got super stiff and stuck on the floor leaving truck effectively stuck in neutral. Seemed to fix itself after pumping pedal. Did it a few more times on the rest of the drive home, but only when shifting into 5th or 6th. You guys thing this is a throwout bearing issue or an issue with the new master? I'm stumped

    I may be wrong

but fixing something by pumping the pedal is usually a hydraulic problem
I hope the parts were installed correctly, and I hope it was bled well.
This is why I DIY whenever I can. Somebody else may not know how a system works, and may not give a shit about a truck that isn't theirs, prompting them to run a bottle through and call it done.

I took the extra time to bleed the shit out of mine

That's what I'm thinking and hoping. I've been taking cars to this shop for years with no issues, it could just be a case of unfamiliar parts. I'll bleed it myself and see what happens, I'm just hoping it's not already an issue with the CM part.

Make sure you no of your lines are kinked. Your pedal adjustment may be off causing a bind. Double check engagement points. You don't want to over extend on the disengagement side.

Well, I think it's safe to say that it's the hydro bearing. As I'm stuck on the side of the freeway and every gear is neutral now. Think this is a record for how short one of these lasted? I got 312 miles on mine... fuckin hell

Edit: with fluid dripping out of my bellhousing

Yeah I was reading through that while waiting on the tow truck. For now gonna have the shop put the stock stuff back in there. Have neither the time nor the money to put that Tilton setup in, but it looks like a setup that actually works
