Okay people I’ve been hit by hurricane ida and I need gasoline in an emergency situation so I dropped the fuel tank on my 07 Tacoma. I took some gas out of it but not all of it. However with it hooked back up and in place to fuel gauge shows complete empty and low fuel light on. Where should I start?

Fill the gas tank up and see if the gauge returns to normal.

Got it guys thanks! Did the ohm check it looked good. Filled it up full and it still showed empty and did a little tappy tap with a rubber maul on the bottom of the tank and the gauge responded. Could have just been coincidence but it’s working lol

    Great news:thumbsup:

Always nice when it’s “simple” to fix.

The level may had just been stuck. It happened to my '12 once when I was really low. It self corrected and all has been good since. Consider it a total fluke.
