How do you like the PPF? Was it done at the dealer or factory? What parts of the truck did you get covered?

31E0C008-3F37-4789-961C-4E1FF614CA9D.jpg Just installed the glass breakage sensor on my 2017, part no. PT398-35160

It’s plug-and-play if you have the OEM keyless alarm, and you don’t need TechStream as the alarm is already set to “on” for that. The instructions also mention to not use Cable V5 if you don’t have a dummy plug on the hood latch- just skip that part though because it works fine as well. Set the microphone to level 8 for starters, it sets off the alarm pretty well when glass is tapped with a key. Remember that the unit does not activate until 30 seconds after you lock the truck.

I purchased mine from here: https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/oem...ta&Model=Tacoma&Year=2017&Submodel=&Filter=()

100% plug and play. Have a 10mm wrench handy for the far bolts (close to the windshield); there isn't a whole lot of space up there.

Here's a decent guide that I watched while awaiting delivery.

I also invested in these trim piece removal tools as I have a few interior mods planned.

I installed and tested the bed mat and OEM electric tailgate lock. The bed mat did a great job holding my chicken on the way home.

Finally installed my speakers that have been sitting in the shop for over 6 months

Backing into the garage like I've done 1000 times before and today was the day my mirror got a little too close to the side of the door frame. Hit it just right so it didn't rotate back and instead smashed the corner and broke the glass and plastic. Anyone know of a good replacement site? I need a heated, non BSM mirror

Man, this hurts to see. I had the exact same thing happen to me, ended up replacing a good portion of what you mentioned.

I ordered the replacements from Bam Wholesale and installed myself, as the dealer wanted near $500.

    Best of luck.

Easy to do and cheaper at BAM Wholesale. Don't drop your socket down the air conditioning duct.

Or if you don’t care if it’s OEM, this is a good quality knock off. I’ve had one on my passenger side with BSM since May of 2020 with zero issues.

Just a heads up, it you have the light sensor in the passenger side tweeter cover, it’s a pain in the ass…
