Ultimate LED turn signals

There are things you can do, but nothing that is cost effective, or even practical really… Not to mention those methods of trying to sync them up would be nearly impossible to get perfect, so really it is what it is, sorry.

 

Thats the reason I sold mine 5 minutes after getting them and ended up just buying some used older model ones. The lights are great, but that delay drove me nuts.

Just installed my V5s and the driver side has 3 or 4 LEDS in the middle of the signal not lighting up.

To clarify I have not even tried the DRLs. Mine is turn signal LEDs not working

Has anybody made a plug n plug solution for tapping wires in the door? If I can avoid tapping/splicing the OEM wiring, I'd prefer that. I know the door wiring wont match up with DLR low/bright or whatever.

I do agree, wish the timing matched up. Hopefully it doesn’t bother me too much.

 

I have KTJO bowl lights and the harness has an extra connection for some future usage. Is this the connection you are thinking of using? I have an extra set that I can send you. I’ve ordered the tailgate release button from her, after she said she would give me one for delaying shipping on my tailgate release harness, and haven’t seen either yet. I’m in Portland too.

I have ktjo bowl lights (in place) and puddles (not yet installed) and now v5's (with the led trouble). If I ever get done building stuff for other people I'll install mine with a DRL signal through the boot somehow (maybe the existing 4 pin, maybe a 5 pin custom feed).

But I was thinking how the ktjo bowl lights would be a nice way to get a quick parking light signal from the door without having to mess with the firewall and boot for someone who just has v5's and no puddles.

We are (@kmorgan3 to some degree, @caribe makaira as well) pondering various possibilities of in-cab-only solutions to feed DRL and Park to the kick panel. Still a hassle to get it through the boot though.

Don't the V5s have a straight flush function?

 

They do, but the slight timing difference is more prominent on that mode than the sequential/reverse sequential

Bummed. My DRL lights work fine but my driver side turn lights do not. The 3 amber LEDs on the end are out on the driver side only. Have to send in a service ticket as well.

 

is there a polarity when hooking the red and white wire to the 2 pin connector to the v2 puddle pods? thanks

 

They are both positive triggers. Red is for bright (DRL) and white is for dimmed (parking light). The ground is with the yellow + turn signal connector and that connector is labeled with + and - on the corresponding side.
