2nd battery added(yellow top), big 3 upgrade completed w/ofhc 0awg, 1000 watt pure sine wave inverter added, medical oxygen system added, led marker lights. 60% rear seat deleted. Upgraded both battery terminals. Yellow top primary battery. 200Amp Alternator upgrade.
I’m thinking that maybe the “pedal commander” could have been tricking the air temp sensor like a lot of those do to increase fuel input. Then the o2 sensors may be trying to make up for it.

Poor fuel economy is one of those things that can be really difficult to pinpoint as there's so many variables.

MAF at idle is pretty spot on, really need to do a WOT pull and record peak MAF and RPM to see if it's correct on the top end.

Fuel trims while high aren't terrible, I mean it's still in fuel control. What driving condition's were the fuel trims you posted under.

While AFR and O2 sensors can get "lazy" and even "lie", with the low mileage I wouldn't expect them to be bad (they typically last well over 100k). Really need a graphing scanner to watch them and see how they respond to various conditions.

What is your coolant temp running at? (should be 180-190 at operating temp) If the thermostat is stuck open or the sensor is skewed it could cause it to run richer.

I was 5100 RPM and 24.9lb/min on the MAF. Coolant temp was 185. Previous fuel trim conditions were about 40 to 60 mph and 2000rpm to 2500RPMs

Check the brake calipers to see if one is sticking/dragging. This is what happened on my FJ and they use the same front calipers if I'm not mistaken.

I am seeing some excellent posts to help you out here.
If you don't mind tinkering a bit.
    1. Throttle body cleaning.
    2. Fresh spark plugs, wires and coils if you need those.
    3. A compression test
    4. MAF and IAT sensor cleaning.

Done all of that except compression test and spark plug coils cause mine looked brand new.

Have you checked your brake calipers yet?

Unhook the battery and let sit. Then reconnect and drive it. Just a guess but maybe a sensor is reading improperly

Done that 3 times now... got my idle RPM to drop but gas mileage stayed the same.

Okay so you are getting 10-12 on your 2021 - you are making me feel much better about getting 13-15 on my 2013 . . . .

    Much better ;)

My right foot & mildly aggressive shift points are at fault - -

Just curious but does your oil smell like gas? Running that rich or running that much through the engine has got to be washing down your oil.
I pulled a 16 foot enclosed trailer with mine a couple of times, loaded pretty heavily when we moved to southern Indiana a few years ago. That's the only time my gas mileage dropped that low. I would think that if it were brakes dragging that bad, you'd smell something hot and you would have warped something by now.
Following this thread closely to see what the final verdict is when you get it figured out.
Until you do, stay up on your oil changes.

If I don't figure it out soon next thread you'll see by me is "2011 Toyota Tacoma for sell "

I really think the pedal commander made my ECU go stupid and lose some brain cells... Not sure what to do here. again, the truck only has 87000 miles on it so IDK why I'm getting this problem now. All my friends have more miles and weight and they all get better mileage than me. I've already wasted over $300 on "diagnosis" just for them to tell me nothing is wrong.

I doubt it was pedal commander given that it is not hooked into ECU. You mentioned unplugging the battery. Have you given the truck time to re-learn? How far are you driving to check the mileage?

Unplugged the battery for 30-45 min then ran the truck in idle for about 15 min. to get the mileage I'm going through almost a whole tank every couple of days and dividing the amount I put in with the current tank milage. These are mainly highway miles too with very little offroad.

Tire pressure? Maybe time to look into the chalk test. I doubt it would be more than 1 or 2 mpg but could be one source.
