10.000 miles on my 2010 taco. WHen I turn heater on I hear a constant chirping sound coming from what sounds to be one of the vents beside the glove box. MOST noticeable when fan is on low. NOt sure if it stops when I turn fan up or if I just can't hear it. Don't know if It's happening with AC but for sure when running heater. ANNOYING. anyone else having this prob? I'm not educated or tooled up to fix it myself. ANY ideas?

TSB stands for technical service bulletin.

It also stands for THE SEARCH BUTTON.

took it into toyo dealer today... they checked it out and said i need a new blower fan. still under warranty, so they ordered one and will install in 3 days. said they put a couple foam pads somewhere to reduce the chirp in the mean time... thanks for pointing me in the right direction. and thumbs up to the dealer for not giving me the run-around and offering to install a new blower!

Have you checked the johnson rods yet? They are supposed to be self adjusting but in the '10's they tend to need a little manual adjustment every now and then.

Just begining, doing some research having some fun!!
Same noise with my 2010 at 14 K, I was wondering if there was a TSB. It goes for it's next service soon soon, and they will replace the motor. My dealer is very good, no question at all with the harsh ride TSB they replaced the leaf springs & couldn't have been nicer about it. Central Maine Toyota, Waterville Maine.

Went to the Dealer today. No Questions ask, They ordered a new heater fan motor. I believe this is a known problem with some tacos. 2010
Access Cab Sport. Take to the dealer. Warrenty is a great thing.

My 2011 has the chirp but only for a second or two when I first turn the fan on. I think it chirps as it spins up, then no other noises. Doesn't do it all the time but I'm wondering, since it's already there, if it'll progress to a constant noise over time.

Oh well, I got 3 years/36,000 miles to find out.
