OEM LED Headlight Conversion Harness

Dave thank you very much for you giving me the nod that this harness will do the job and leading me to worry free connecting of the heads. As for the fogs I'm guessing it's just plug them into oem existing harness. It seems stage 1 Mesa led taillights are out of stock. Is that the only go to source. Do you make a equivalent set up Dave?

I don’t make any taillight switchback harness. You can keep an eye on the BST forum though since many have bought the MESO / Morimoto taillight so some used total tail harnesses should hit the market once those ship. They are preorder right now.

 

Fog light is a ? But I think direct fit for 2017. At some point Toyota changed to H16 or something? My 2016 was H11. Try and see if it works and if not then we will figure out a plan.

 

I sent a pic of the fog. Oem for a 2020 limit, putting them in my 2022 sport when it arrives

The reason it’s a question is that I know some of these are H16 or something for fog lights. I assume sport and offroad are potentially H11 but I don’t know myself and I know zero people with a 2022

 

From what I'm reading and seeing is that all 2022's other than the Pro and Trail, are being trim levels deemed as a carry-over models from 2021. I took some close up of the fogs stampings. Maybe you might be able to decode.

 

I’m just not up to speed on the differences between H11 and H16 nor which your truck will come with. The bulbs would appear to not be compatible with the other housing but the connectors might be compatible? I simply don’t know.

Hi Dave, I’m still learning the ropes around TW. I’m interested in a set of your harness for my OR Tacoma. I’m planing on adding the Raptor grill lights and the Meso turn signal DRL at some point. That being said I’m guessing my option would be the $150 set that says grill lights and V5 harness ?

 

Based on what you say you want, this sounds like the options you desire.

Also a quick note to people that I’m away from home base this week but returning Friday. I’ll ship orders on Saturday.

If you do grille lights now, you can add the v5 module later. But if you do no grille lights and no v5 then it’s a new conversion harness if you want to add them later.

 

Gotch! I guess my question really was if I get the harness for grill lights and V5 but install them with out connecting anything to those outlets will I run into headlight issues ? Adding V5 once they are in stock

 

V5 feed is bare wire so you would either leave it out or run through the firewall.

 

im talking about the harness it’s self if I get the one for the V5 and grill lights and install it with my new headlights but don’t connect grill lights or V5 will that be an issue for headlight function?

OK, so, previously I was on my phone, sorry, here is a photo which can help you, it's from the LED T tap thread. I do need to put more photos in this thread at some point.



That's an example of the v5 harness on the right, though for "direct" rather than "T" mode. The T would have male and female connectors and would go in between the headlight conversion harness 3 position AMP connector and the grille light feed. Or if you wanted headlight conversion without grille lights, you'd get that coil on the right as-is.
