Yeah I want to replace my chop saw with a cold cut evo. Told myself I’ll do it for whatever my next big project is.

For comparison. I bought this truck 2 years ago with 254k on it. It was serviced regularly by the prior owner, but I don't know what type of oil he used. I've used Mobil 1 full synthetic since I got it. Now at 290k and I'm replacing valve cover gaskets, plenum gaskets, spark plugs and wires, fuel injectors, cam plugs and half moons, PCV valve and grommet, spark plug tube seals, etc. I've put Seafoam in the gas tank several times, but not yet in the oil. Here's my passengers side valve cover and train.
    20211102_183420.jpg 20211102_183016.jpg
    And my spark plug tubes.
    20211102_180627.jpg 20211102_180638.jpg 20211102_180650.jpg
Going to finish replacing everything and probably put Seafoam in the oil a couple times. I'm concerned at how mine looks compared to a few I've seen on here. Having said that the engine has given me no problems other than valve cover gasket leak since I bought it so maybe I'm overreacting.

Check your valve lash while you are in there. That's about what any I've opened up have looked like.

Not sure I like them. The tire still catches the fender right by the marker light hole. May end up cutting the fender straight. Cutting the stock headlight backing out and just have that behind the stock headlight lense. Or paint these aluminum panels black

Bought all the tools that @Timmah! links to in his new valve clearance video. Going to start on that in the AM. Wish me luck!

Here's a link to the video for any of you that are in the boat with me.

that could be cool. I've seen something similar done before. Will keep it a bit OEM looking while very different.

Something feels way more so special about hitting 1/4 million on a trip in the way to camp.

The honda sprayers are the better option, they are adjustable.

I think I might win a prize for the cheapest, jerry-rigged mod of all time, but it works until I can do a more "professional" job. Tired of the constant knocking and clacking of my key fob banging on the lower plastic dash, so I made a bumper. BTW, I searched for a Key Fob "condom" but couldn't find one for this style. Might try coating it in Plasti-dip to see if that helps too:
