    Yeah.
I continue to run a stock TRD Pro with no additional lift, and it does fine. I think the #1 thing you'd want to do is tires, but I got around fine here in AR with the stock Goodyears. The rest is insurance -- I've never hit my sliders or needed my winch (yet), but they are nice to have as insurance. The stock skid plate isn't super sturdy, but it will do its job. Your truck is very capable as it is. Tires and light armor for protection against "oops" moments is probably the best start.

Thanks everyone! I have the same mindset you guys have. I went out this weekend to Winona and although nothing was too rough it did fine on some heavy washed out roads. I hit the front skid plate once coming down so it sounds like that should be replaced with something a little more heavy duty. Any wiggle room in tire size with stock suspension and stock wheels on a '19 OR?

    Yeah.
You can safely go 265/75R16 which gives you a tiny bit of extra clearance. Not sure about the pizza-cutter sizes, though.

That is what I was thinking. Thanks! Maybe Discount Tire will have some deals closer to BF.

32-in all-terrain tires, maybe some sliders and skids. That'll get you across most of the state without any issues

I carry a pair of these with me all the time and a second pair when making a dedicated trip:

    https://www.amazon.com/X-BULL-Recov...ds=traction+boards&qid=1636398249&sr=8-4&th=1

Some means of tire inflation is nice too. Can't air down if you can't air them back up.

Those boards, a little shovel, and airing down can go a long ways towards getting you out of somewhere you shouldn't have been with stock suspension and tires. But to be fair, the taco is pretty capable stock as long as a person doesn't get crazy.

Good call on th X-Bulls. For average overlanding and exploring, they're super great

That is a great price! Maxtrax are $300 everywhere I look. I saw some Viair air compressors on sale on Amazon. Might jump on one of those as well.

If you decide to get a VIAIR 400P let me know. I want to upgrade to the 400P automatic and would sell my current 400P for a good price. Only been used once.

When I bought my '17 I had rock sliders ordered within 10 minutes of getting it home lol. If you're ok with MT's 255/85 16 (skinny 33's) fit fine stock and look even better with a two inch lift.

I just found a couple threads regarding skinnier tires. Might have to think about that one! At first glance it doesn't look too bad honestly. I didn't think about going with a skinnier tire.

I'm on my 4th set of this size (on two trucks) so I'm pretty sold. There's at least one 35x10.5 17 out there now that looks pretty interesting too. For a really nerdy deep dive check this article out...
