Well, no sleep, food, or liquids for the last few days has me completely drained so I'm calling it a night and hopefully will get a few hours of rest. Man is it nice to be back in my own bed for a night. Peace out AZ TW guys.

If you get the material and welder and I am able to make it down I will help you as much as I can. Pretty easy to build.

    TRD skid painted black,
    I have a miller 135 it is a wire feed 115volt welder.
I am by no means a welder but I can stick some metal together pretty well,
The welder is pretty light duty so it is limited to time and thickness.
I can bring it along if needed.

That would work fine for what he would be using it for. Hell some duct tape, bailing wire, and gum should be plenty for Scotts rig. :p

you may have just saved the day!!

What type of brackets should I use to fasten it to the tracks up top??
Check this thread out. This is how i wanna fasten it...But I don't want the whole rack...just a single bar up top just behind the wind shield.

I'm thinking 1.5" Conduit would be sufficient...then I could run the electrical wires though the tubing for a clean look

Just bring a little sheet of 1/4" plate and a cut off wheel and make your own. Like I said, if I'm there and feeling good enough I will definitely help. I do have a few years of fab work in me.

I could measure it, bend it and get all the pieces cut out and then just have a local gut do a couple spot welds :D

So a stick of Metal Conduit thats 1.5" in diameter and 10' long is about 20 bucks...That plate metal will be less than that. I think we could get this done for under 50 bucks total...besides the lights of course!

    That'll be strong enough right??
