I'm looking to see if I can fit 255/85/16 on my 3rd gen which has a 2/1 leveling kit "the shocker"
I read a few threads about fitting largest tires on stock/lifted 3rd gen but didn't really find much on largest Skinny/pizza cutter tires.
If anyone has 255/85/16 can you plz post pics and let me know if I will need to do any trimming or other mods with the 2/1 leveling kit.
My goal is to get biggest tire size with no rub whatsoever on my 3rd gen with "the shocker" leveling kit, I would prefer the skinny tires (my guess is these will have a less chance of rubbing?) but what do I know I'm just an ape in this big jungle trying to find some bananas.

I ran 255/85/16s with OR rims on mine at stock height and had just a little rubbing that would occur during full articulation which a small snip of the inner fender fixed. The tires would sometimes rub the inner upper wheel well if i bottomed out the front but once i put on a 2" lift that hasnt happened again yet.

The tires i have (maxxis bighorn 762s) also measure at a full 33.3" which is slightly taller than most other 255s so you should be good with almost any major brand
