Many prayers and positive thoughts going out to Manitou, great dude with many many happy customers.

 

He moved to get a place to expand his business instead of working out of his house. I think hes busy setting everything up including his new printers? I'm waiting to order more parts and hear from him every once in awhile so I think he is doing ok.

 

Definitely hope that’s the case. Has there been any updates on his FB (deleted my fb a few weeks ago so I can’t check) seems kinda odd that the moderator of his fb didn’t know anything about it.

I just heard back from him. He said most of my parts are ready hoping to have other parts ready in few days. Is everyone sending him emails instead of messaging on IG? I have his email if anyone needs it. He said I could give it out so can send a PM if anyone needs it.

Good to hear. I haven’t been able to commit the time and money to a purchase yet but now that I own a 3rd gen and have a trx4 sitting at home I just might.

 

Thanks for the info. I currently have the Axial Trail Honcho. I’ve been searching for Taco body for while now. This would be my first build. Thanks again.

 

The new print materials is supposed to smoother and more detailed then the previous version.

Where did you get the tires and wheels from

 

The tires are RC4WD Dick Cepek 1.9" Mud Country Scale Tires.

The wheels are from I bought from rcscalestudio. I don't think he still sells them but you can always ask him.

Do you have the 3d file available for download or purchase would really help me as I’m a model maker and have a commission to replicate his Tacoma an there aren’t any scale models for 2nd or 3rd gen tacos. Hope to hear back soon and amazing work, like un real good

There are some free Tacomas on Thingiverse but no where near the level of detail as M-Fab's.

 

Especially his new versions.

 

Bringing this thread back to life, this build is awesome! In fact it’s inspired me to print a Tacoma body for my TRX-4! I’m using one off of CGTrader and I’m wondering if anyone has made a bumper to fit this body for the trx4 that is willing to share a CAD model or STL? I didn’t want the plain mesh grille that came with the files so I designed a TRD Pro grille and resin printed it. Also, let’s see an update on the Tacoma!
