I was told by my dealer (New England) that I'm looking at possibly late February before they get my double cab SR5 4x4? Is that what other are being told?

Took me about a month to get my SR5 (2x4) back in October 2020. Seems a bit long but also the market has changed a lot. From what I'm told I could sell my Taco for more than I bought it for new right now it's so bad.

Good things come to those who wait though, so I wouldn't be too worried if you can.

I'm in New England too, it's a crapshoot right now with shortages and no vehicles on lots. Put my despoit down on Oct. 18, they originally said first week of December about a month ago for delivery, then pushed back to Dec. 9-12, then Dec 12-19 and now 19-29. This is with Portsmouth Toyota, they seem to always have a few SR5s on their site https://www.toyotaofportsmouth.com/new-inventory/index.htm?search=&gvModel=Tacoma&sortBy=internetPrice asc

This thread shows how long some people waited for https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...your-2021-tacoma-price-thread.685728/page-204

I have no problem waiting, none. I just wondered if it's reasonable. It's the kind of truck you usually see a couple of on any dealers lot. Magnetic gray, 4x4, 4 door. Pretty every day Taco.

Except the market is weird right now, all over the country they are having trouble getting stock. I'm certain that is why.

I'm in Vermont. I've dealt with BC quite a few times. I was close to a deal with Irwin last time. I've noticed quite a few dealers have Tacos listed as "in transit" or "sale pending".

Yeah not many places have trucks sitting on lots and a ton get sold before they get to the dealership. Best to put down a deposit at the dealer that gets the most allocations of trucks, as they have the best bet of getting the truck you want exactly. I don't think the wait for a basic SR5 would be too long, but crazy vehicle climate right now. Plus then you gotta find a dealer that doesn't have crazy markups.

Hopefully be able to get one before it gets really snowy in Vermont, I am hoping mine really comes in before Christmas as I am spending Christmas in Sharon and they have some nice trails up there.
