Was looking at some new tires. Came across the yokohomas. Anyone that owns them. How good are they for everyday/weekend warrior driving?

They definitely have good road manners for an MT. I couldn't be happier with mine for off-road performance.

You definitely won't get as many miles out of them as an AT, but treadwear has been pretty good with 5K rotations.

I wouldn't run them year-round if you live in an area where snow and ice is an issue. But, no MT is actually good for that.

They are fantastic on and off-road. Had mine for just over 6k miles. They are fairly loud now that I’ve just rotated them, but they handle the road great and will get you out of any obstacle on the trail. Would definitely buy again

I run the Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015. They fill the gaps between a too aggresive tire and a strictly street tire. I've had them on four different trucks and will soon be replacing some Patagonias with them on a fifth truck.

How is this related to the G003 MT?

The G003s are too loud and wear faster. The G015s are just a better all around tire.

    Your milage may vary...

it’s already been established and well documented by a 30 page thread regarding the 003 MT, that it’s one of the quietest and best performing MTs available. Too loud according to who..you?

"Too loud" isn't really applicable when you're comparing a mud tire to a fairly mild all terrain.

I would agree with the second part of your statement, but that wasn't the question asked by the OP. One could argue that almost ANY AT is a better all-around tire. But that would be like saying that an all season is a better all-around tire than some DOT slicks. Of course it is.

Well, at least I’m providing data on the correct tire in question…you’re not even talking about the same tire, and comparing an MT to an AT.

Then feel free to ignore anything I said.

And I wasn't responding to anything you asked anyway...

Just go away…no one cares about your quieter All Terrain tires. Go start your own thread :jerkoff:

The point is that the OP asked how they were as a daily driven MT, not "how do they compare to a mild AT?"

I heard good things and i really enjoy the aggressive style of them. I don’t mind road noise cause I always have music. I do go to the mountain and that usually has snow. But I’m pretty sure they’d do better than my stock tires haha. Good to know. Will be looking to order a set. What would be the best for my style I guess? Like I said previously wheels are 17.9 -38 offset. Might buy new wheels with a smaller offset. Want to run 33s. Best measurements of tire I guess u can say
