    I took off the unit and found my antenna wire came loose. It’s not a tight fit and the local channels still don’t come in clear. I ordered an extension. I hope it tightens things up maybe mine needs a little more size. It fit my last HU fine. I hope this isn’t an on going issue.

    so if my 2012 only has XM antenna, but it's shark fin, can I still utilize the extension for GPS? probably not huh? I don't mind tucking the stock GPS antenna under the dash, but would love to use the shark fin instead.

    Even make sure you're not using Nova launcher.....I was and lost climate controls....removed Nova from default and climate controls were back.

    Arc, what is tasker? Is that a app available form the store? Zlink is turned off in the droid settings, and yes that's what I'm experiencing....having to turn on and off hotspot to make it visible to the HU.

    Can anyone speak to the hotspot of a droid? Is the newer droid phones the same way? I'm due for an upgrade and need a reason to get away from this iphone....

    I know the hotspot on an iPhone won't consistently broadcast the SSID this is a limitation with the iPhone. You will need to open the setting before it will broadcast.

    Tasker is an app for android, you can make it turn things on and off based on certain conditions. For example, once Bluetooth connects to a certain network it can turn on the hotspot of the android phone, then the radio should see the wifi and connect automatically.
