    Hey all,

I am in the midst of putting a DIY dual battery system in my 2012 v6. Bolted to the battery are two cables: 1 big one with a square, tabbed lug, that seems to feed down into the engine bay, and one with a ring that feeds into the large black fuse box aft of the stock battery location.

In order to get the isolator working, I need to end up with the house battery and the alternator feed on one post, and the starter, the main battery, and the main fuse box feed on the second post.

But I'm having trouble identifying the right cabling.

I'm assuming that the main square tabbed lug coming up from the factory harness is the starter lead?

If that is true - where is the alternator lead?

Am I hopelessly clueless and confused?

    [edit]

Oh, I think it does go into the fuse box, according to this set of images and commentary:

So I'd need to route that up through my isolator instead of through the fuse box.
