99% sure is that it puts out light from under the rocker panels when you open the door to illuminate where you are getting out.

And that's also likely why the Pro fog lights only fill the bottom of the fog opening. To keep them at a legal height.

Lights on the rocker panels under each door keyed to the fob when you unlock the doors. Also illuminated front floor boards for driver and passenger. I have it on my Tundra and it's kinda neat. This time around I think I'm gonna do the YotaMafia light kit. It's like $250 for the 4 light kit or they make a 6 light kit for a little more.

I am interested in the dual USB charge station. Is that a Toyota part that can be ordered? I know different regions have some different options not available in others and I would have really liked to have gotten that.

I'm sure it's available somewhere like most other add ons. I'll try and find a part number.

    A few.
A local dealer in my area has a Trail Edtion coming that can be reserved and its showing a msrp of $45k so it looks like ur giving up somethings in comparision to a trd offroad for the same price.

That’s a very expensive Trail if truly MSRP. My Trail MSRP is low 41’s. Post the Spec sheet, I’m sure we’d all be interested how it got that high.

The problem with Toyotas is that you have the port put on a ton of options sometimes, like side steps, and then the MSRP wildly fluctuates.

Custom sliders (1.75" HREW tube w/ 3/16" base plates). Custom front bumper and high clearance rear bumper (1/4" steel plate, 1.75" tube.) Dammit....decisions decisions...lol

It would probably still be less than the Pro too.

The Fob is a pain in the ass. It costs $500 to replace if damaged and they break easy plus it maybe a muscle memory for us old timers.
Unless you drop it and it gets smashed into pieces out in the middle of nowhere. I’m old give me a key.

My wife left my tundra keys on the tonneau cover and drove off. We found them down the road but they had been run over. Smashed all to pieces, but all I did was buy a $20 shell and the internals were unharmed. This is my first hand experience with the proximity key fob. I consider it to be pretty durable.

it’s personal preference, but I don’t see how a regular key, with a fob, is any more durable.

I had one of my FOB’ break after being dropped and cracked in a puddle tried to put in a shell no luck. Down to one FOB and now treat it like a baby and cringe when I drop my keys. I think it personal preference as for me I am so used to key out of ignition right into pocket. To each their own I guess. Thankfully you found it.

Ha No, I dropped several times before and it landed on the corner and cracked open in some water and that was it.

    Got an update for everyone:

    1-7 - allocated

    1-11 - built

    1-13 - shipped to port

Salesperson says it will be here this month. I had them remove all port options, so my time in port should be shorter than most. I estimate, based on shipping distances, I could even possibly have it late next week. Definitely this month though!
