Sequoia was 16" or 17" from 2003 to 2007 from what I just found. 17" was on the Limited package only but I couldn't find anything indicating if they were steel or not.

I bought a set of 5th gen 4runner wheels and the spare was a 17" steel wheel

My thought is they'd have more appropriate backspacing for an 80, close to neutral is better, the Prado 120 based things like 4th/5th gen runners, 2nd/3rd gen tacomas, and fj cruisers are all too inset and don't fit old toyotas well

Gotcha. Well, 03-07 Sequoia Limited wheels are the same that I am running on the 4Runner right now. They also came on the Tundra of the same generation. They definitely space the wheel out from the hub a little more than the stock wheels did, although I have still had to use 1.25" spacers to get the tires to clear properly. Pretty sure the Sequoia was using a stell 17" spare from what I have seen online, whereas my 4runner with 17" wheels, the spare was the same aluminum wheel as the other stockers.

I think pretty much anything with 17” rims came with a 17” steel spare. I just scored a 17” steel spare off a member on here that took it off a 2nd gen TRD Sport.

As mentioned above, backspacing becomes a factor.

2nd/3rd Gen Tacoma wheels fit 1st Gen Tacomas just fine, but they sit deeper than stock wheels would.

Seems to be the same for 2nd/3rd Gen Tacoma and 4th/5th Gen 4Runner wheels if I used them on my Land Cruiser.

We'll see what I come up with, I just wouldn't want my wheels to look funky being too far in, or especially out; I'm not a Jeep owner :bananadead:

Let's get on with some details.

The interior is pretty dirty and worn, as expected because of how old it is.

However, there are a few things I want to do to really bring it to life.

    20220119_090509.jpg

For starters, the front stereo bezel has this cheap knock off wood trim attached. Underneath (in person) you can see where someone trimmed it or something. Fortunately, I can score one new online for about $100 so I'll need to order that.

I also noticed that the ground cable for the stereo isn't attached as I'm unable to achieve any of the bluetooth settings required when the vehicle is 'parked'. That and the front speakers aren't running so I'll have to diagnose the wiring back there.

Next up, the shift console just below it.

It's large, and though I'm sure it'll clean up nicely (no scratches, etc), it looks very dated.

I've got a new shift console ordered up last night ;)

Next up, the center console itself.

    20220119_090519.jpg

In order to really clean this thing up, I'd have to pull it out of the LC. But then I'd need a new top cover. Then I'd say, if it's out, why not get something to match the new shift console I ordered up? Let's not forget the CB radio that's attached to the rear of the console too.

So with yesterday's order, I also got a new center console on the way.

    The seats.

    20220119_090407.jpg

These seats are really bugging the shit out of me. Granted, I don't have passengers with me practically ever...but I can't stand the eyesore everytime I turn around. So I ordered some replacement leather seats for the 2nd row.

While we're talking about the rear, the power locks do not work. Fortunately, you can hear the actuator so that tells me they're in good working order. A quick search tells me they just need to be pulled apart and cleaned so that they can fully engage/disengage again.

The front driver and passenger seats aren't in nearly as bad of a shape, but still due for replacing. I figured once I take care of the many interior items first, then I could move forward to the front seats.

Can't wait until parts start to arrive so I can go digging into this thing.

I've got stuff to address in the back, including the custom built rack back there. Unsure which way I'll go about that setup. I'll post pics later.

Oh, yeah so it has the higher mounted dryer cause of that. Recently died on me though, probably needs a condenser and a reseal. Good thing I've got lots of R12

Speaking of unrecoverable, I can't speak to his welding skills, but I know a guy who can tell you why any winch over 3000lbs capacity is worthless and a waste of money :D
