Marv box coated in Duratex, went this route so I could still fit my work backpack or other small items behind the driver side seat. It's a Prime R2 sub and only 250w amp but bumps plenty for me. I usually keep it between 25%-50% on the adjustment dial.

Thank you, but I can’t take credit for this enclosure. A friend of mine, a heavy car audio enthusiast, built this for me. He does incredible work. Especially for being so limited as we live on a tiny island in the middle of the pacific.

Here is the next enclosure going in the truck that’ll house 2 subs mounted inverted. Kinda silly but I did tell him i wanted louder, soooooo lol. Just need to get around and order me an upgraded alternator first.

Well honestly, if you can't go over-the-top, what's the point?:D Those are U-series 15"s, aren't they? I can see why you need to upgrade the power system. What wattage is going to them? The full 1,500?

THOSE ARE 12” SA’s!?! Those magnets are huge, and the cone is big for a 12. Either way, that truck is gonna be ridonkulous. Won’t need the motor, just open the back window, the air’ll move you.:spending::burnrubber:

Well, after a lot of work, it is finally where I wanted… for now:thumbsup:

Thanks to @CLVol1255 for all the help answering my questions. Also reached out to @Philrab, @dolbytone, and @destin_meeks - thanks fellas.

If you follow this thread, you probably saw my initial post here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/let’s-see-some-subwoofer-setups.571122/page-22#post-26141462

There was some issue with floor noise and it was addressed. I ended up adding an augmented ground (in parallel with the chassis ground)

I already had done the Big 6 upgrade. The cable for all power and grounds (Big 6 and augmented ground) are all 1/0 AWG cable.

Maybe I should have made a separate post for the whole build, but since I started here, just gonna follow through.

Not a pro, but pretty happy with how all turned out.

Next project, will be to replace the whole front stage with new custom A pillar pods with Focal Utopia Twitter and Mids, and I’ll put 8” woofers instead of the 6.5s

I will also add a Mosconi Pro 5/30 amp. This way I’ll be able to bridge each Mosconi Pro 4/10s so one feed the Utopia twitters and the other feed the mids.

Then I’ll use the 5/30 to bridge the 8” woofers and the JL Audio C7 woofers that I’ll move to the rear doors for filler.

The HD1200/1 will stay with the 12W7s.

    Rick.

That isn't my cup of tea, but my hat is off to you for innovation and completion. :hattip:

I do like those LED strip lights. I might look into doing something similar for in-cab lighting and also for bed and engine bay lighting.

I get it… is NOT most people on this forum “cup-of-tea”. There are literally 2 other TW members, besides me, that have done a blowthrough; that I know of.

IT’S A HUGE COMMITMENT, like getting married or doing 20 years in the military; is not for everyone.

I am so happy of how everything turned out. The sound and output, is BY FAR, greater and better that I ever had.

I have 4 Diode Dynamics LED strips. One on each foot well on the front, and the two you see behind. With the rear seats overhang, you can’t see the strips, you just get the light.

I hook them up to the “open door-dome light comes on” circuit. When you open your door you get all this “luxury” lighting.

I got the idea from the wife’s BMW X5, our trucks came with super sucky lighting IMHO.

@NavyDiver72 Please consider doing a build thread. Your truck is unique and deserving. You already have all the photos anyway. Just keeps everything jn one spot. Always great to also cross post here as you make future changes, that’s how a lot of people do it.

I’m a big fan of what I’ve seen.
