No. There are 2 quick release pins you pull to disconnect it. Swaybar is free to float afterwards. Repinning is kinda tricky, but not terrible. Best way I've found it to get it on level ground and tuck the wheels.

 

Makes a hell of a noise, but thus is life.

 

They recently added rubber bushings to them, which is why I bought new ones. Haven't gotten the opportunity to test them out yet... Been busy as hell with this tune.

We all took a step back from a couple years ago to reflect on where the Tacoma was and what the 2GR-FKS platform was about. That led us to really do some digging into the engine/transmission tunes available and completely start over. We took lessons learned and what didn't work so well, and set out in search for actual performance from the engine without power adders. What we found in this journey, and it has been a journey, is that everything else out there just didn't quite do it for us. It was either too touchy (tip-in), didn't deliver properly (dead pedal), or just plain left the engine kinda starving. So, the 4 of us put our heads together and compiled our own tune, dead set of delivering the product to the Tacoma community that they deserve. The tune that SHOULD have been delivered with your truck! Nexus is the way it should have driven to begin with.

Nexus has been run and tested in various, and extreme environmental conditions and tuned for all terrains. We've run it through blazing desert, mountain elevation, jungle mud, and deep snow. It just keeps pulling. The transmission has been refined to control temperature, yet provide solid delivery to the wheels. It's been tested using all sorts of intake setups, tire diameters, and gear ratios for thousands of miles and all different styles of driving. This isn't something we blasted a few runs on a dyno on a weekend then tossed some charts at you. We spent countless hours building this and the tools to help us make it the living breath WILD BEAST of a truck tune you deserve to drive! This isn't a common amp draw number, but it is a possible number. When I ran the AGM tune, my backup cam and other quirks seemed to sprout up. And I never really bothered w it after that.

 

Once we finalize all the AT files and get distribution rolling, we will concentrate on the M/T. We've done some testing, but it's not fully ready for release yet. I'll see if the boys are interested in utilizing you as a tester.

 

If you end up needing a few folks for testing, I wouldn't mind seeing how things go.

 

Well I guess I should send in my dongle
And get the VF tune registered then figure out how to get it installed and learn how to flash again since I only did it once at least 3 years ago.
The premium performance version sounds like what I want.

 

That's what I'm driving and there's honestly nothing comparable in terms of tunes for the Tacoma (that I've test driven).

 

you are driving the +P or the one above that? What is your setup and mpgs?

 

Pretty much the same as I was getting before. Mind you, I have the worst luck. I get stopped at every traffic signal. I also remote start the truck every morning to "defog" so my MPG's have never been "great". But I think my average to work this morning was around 16 with a 7 mile trip, no interstate speeds. That's what I was seeing with just standard 2.0 as well.

 

but you are driving the regular +P or the premium +P? What size tires? Gears?

Been on the Daily Driver since last July, and I've been pretty satisfied to leave it alone. Every once in a while I read the latest from the most popular tunes to see what improvements they feel they have made. AJ, any comments to tempt me to fork over another $125-$150 and jump to Nexus? I suspect it to be a further refinement of DD plus some other minor improvements, I can't imagine it's a big jump. DD is still pretty dang good in my opinion but then DD was a noticeable improvement over the original M+W so......
