there actually were a couple scratches on them but mostly unblemished. Surprised they didn’t use a removable plastic sheet over them to protect for packaging and shipping. Overall happy though. Easy install. I used nail polish remover to get rid of the avs logo

I still need to install the molle on my tacoma but in the mean time got them installed on a ZR2, also had to fly out to catch the awesome sunset between installs.

I designed and machined up my own 1 1/4" front seat risers out of 6061 T-6 aluminum and painted them with sating black epoxy paint. I bought (4) factory seat bolts which cost me $12.87 from the dealer. I made one set at first for the drivers side to see how I would like it, and being such a big change from the stock seat height and angle, initially I wasn't quite sure if I liked them, but after about the six-time of driving the truck I was sold on it, so then I machined up another pair for the passenger seat.

Thanks, and it saved me $200 as opposed to buying them.

is the bottom of the block contoured? Could you just get some 1 1/4" square tubing and drill a hole for the bolt with the same affect?

You run the risk of the tube collapsing and snapping the bolt, especially in a wreck. Would have to make sure it's pretty thick-walled tubing.

There’s not supposed to be that many bees oustside the box. This is my moms thing, and I helped her move some hives. Both times I’ve helped her the situation got sketchy. What I’ve learned is what I’ve known. Lack of preparation is commitment to failure.

No, the bottom and top of the mounts are parallel, and the blocks are 1 1/4" high x 1 1/2" wide x 1 7/8" long, and they needed to be 1 1/2" wide for them to look right. With them bolted to the body, the angle of the seat track lays perfectly flat against the top of the blocks.

I made them this way because I could see going into all of the extra work to make them look like the Seat Jackers, as after looking at those locating pins on the seat rails that have a white plastic cover on them, and that fit into a hole on the floor, all they are is locating pins used for quickly locating the seats on the assembly line, so I just hacksawed the pins off. You can see a little teardrop area in the carpet at the back of the risers, so to cover that area up so you couldn't see the white body paint, I cut the bottom out of one of those black plastic trays that frozen food comes in, and slid them up underneath the carpet.

I had a very successful custom motorcycle business for ten years, and even sold some custom license plate mounts on the forum, but I do not make parts of any kind for sale anymore, and I just tinker on my vehicles and motorcycles.

I bought my first set from DesertDoesit but got the second set, for the passenger side, from China. DesertDoesIt is top quality to be sure but the Chinese knock-offs do the job just as well for a third the cost. I would never have done the passenger side for $100 but decided to do so for $30. After all, They are mostly invisible.

thank you sir! I had the gunmetal trd pro wheels on my last tacoma, they look great. I prefer gunmetal over black for the contrast it gives the truck, plus they show less scratches and trail rash.
This is actually the Alu-Cab canopy, and it has been awesome. I had a regular fiberglass shell on my last tacoma and it flexed and constantly had to be tightened and adjusted, especially after a trip on some rough roads. Fortunately I have an alu-cab dealer not too far from me at CB Adventure Supply.

Any issues with CarPlay? I've read mixed reviews.

I like that it looks factory when installed. I don't like that the price has gone from about $700 to $1200.
