I had a very successful custom motorcycle business for ten years, and even sold some custom license plate mounts on the forum, but I do not make parts of any kind for sale anymore, and I just tinker on my vehicles and motorcycles.

I bought my first set from DesertDoesit but got the second set, for the passenger side, from China. DesertDoesIt is top quality to be sure but the Chinese knock-offs do the job just as well for a third the cost. I would never have done the passenger side for $100 but decided to do so for $30. After all, They are mostly invisible.

thank you sir! I had the gunmetal trd pro wheels on my last tacoma, they look great. I prefer gunmetal over black for the contrast it gives the truck, plus they show less scratches and trail rash.
This is actually the Alu-Cab canopy, and it has been awesome. I had a regular fiberglass shell on my last tacoma and it flexed and constantly had to be tightened and adjusted, especially after a trip on some rough roads. Fortunately I have an alu-cab dealer not too far from me at CB Adventure Supply.

Any issues with CarPlay? I've read mixed reviews.

I like that it looks factory when installed. I don't like that the price has gone from about $700 to $1200.

I never posted this up, so I'll call this, what I did a few years ago when I removed the rear jumps seats from my SR5. The aluminum diamond plate pieces cover up the white body paint that was exposed when I removed everything, and it made it nice for carrying groceries. I wanted to buy the SR black full back panel to replace what I have now, but I couldn't see spending the $600 or so dollars for it.

I plan to make up two drop-in shelves made out of aluminum that friend of mine will weld for me that will fill in the area behind the seats at the same level as the storage compartments and cover over the hump also, which will make it even better for carrying stuff.

I wonder if you could make those drop in panels actually replace the plastic covers, and hinge up out of the way against the back wall (and latch in the vertical position maybe) if you need to access the footwell.

Thanks, I never thought of doing that, but what also would look would be to make the top new fill-in plate one-piece and replace the existing diamond plate cover pieces that are in between the storage compartment lids

Sweet! Might add a set of feet on the side closest to the front seats that is on a hinge or rod so that they fold flat when you lift the plate up. Nothing worse than just about ripping your ear off after you try to grab something out of the middle of the truck.

That looks really good. Are the beige inserts plastic/vinyl? If so you could probably dye them black. :notsure:

Yes I know, many say it’s a useless mod but I say, no more fiddling with that plastic cable. Split second and done500539AE-A17D-4A16-9171-16BBC76AFC2F.jpg185B5FC1-2C40-4E60-84B8-71EF805FF591.jpg

It seems the OEM screw never fares well with this mod. I think MESO should provide a replacement screw for an extra 50c.

Yes, I must say, it was very tight and took some serious pressure and also trying to brace the door as well in removing the screw.
