    Have you asked on Wander The West? It's a great resource for pop-up campers.

    well I know on my v6 re geared to 5.29 I have plenty of power but fuel economy is shit. 11-13mpg is my new average if traveling over 60mph. I still love it tho.

    mom a 4 banger I'd imagine it would struggle, But be doable.

    I'm running OME BP-51 complete kit with Medium Dakar's in the rear and Firestone ride right airbags with daystar cradles. so far so good no issues and setup is working well. I've got a FWC Swift Shell that i'm building.

    What function do the daystar cradles serve? I do not have them on my ride-rite air bags. They probably cannot be installed once bags are in a place, correct?

    They could be added. It makes it so the bottom of the air bags are not attached to the axle, but rest in a cradle. The idea is to not limit your suspension Travel/flex for offroading.

    Gotcha. Here is a pick of my air bag set up. You’re saying I can add cradles without uninstalling air bags?81358392-8964-46DB-A009-E2DCAF3B45D9.jpg

    Pretty much. You'd need to remove the lower mounting bracket on the existing airbags where the cradle would then be installed i believe.

    This is a great thread! I have a FWC on my 1984 Bronco and its been a great camper.
    Does anyone have the Project M Topper by FWC? Thats the one I was thinking about getting and was wondering since its only 377 lbs are major suspension mods needed?

    Yeah, very easily done. As mentioned just disconnect the bottom mount on the bag and the cradle bolts right in place.

    The suspension that you're looking at with the airbags will handle the FWC no problems. Just make sure you switch to Load Range E tires if you haven't done that yet and you'll be gold.

    I had an Eagle on my Tacoma and stupidly sold it. I now have a Granby on a DCLB Tundra and love it. My neighbor has a Project M on order for his Tundra and takes delivery in March. We were just at the FWC 50th Anniversary Gathering in SoCal and there were lots of Project M's there. Everyone we talked to loved them.

    From the one YT vid I saw, the seal on the M was a bit lacking, resulting in a lot of dust getting in. Wonder if they addressed this. Would be a good choice if they did, makes it more competitive with GFC and Vagabond.

    I loved having a 4WC on my 4 banger regular cab. Most people who hate on it haven’t ever had one.

    So, last question before I order these cradles;
    I understand how to install them, they bolt into the lower bracket where the air bag would bolt in. Ride-rite model has one hex bolt that screws into bottom of air bag from up through bottom of the lower mounting bracket.
    Question-apparently the air bag just sits down into the cradle without bolting to it? Does this affect the structural integrity of the system-bottom of air bag simply sitting in cradle and not bolted to it? I’m sure it won’t come out of cradle, but it’s just sitting in it, unsecured.

    Yeah, the bottom of the bag just "nests" in the cradle. I've had them on my truck since 2013 and no problems at all.
