Finished the base harness conversion. Now I'm busy adding the wires for my navigation, inverter and power mirror install.
I might also add the wires for a remote start now so when I install one later I'll just have one plug to connect.

Love the looks of the 2nd gen. However, we third Gen owners will all feel like you when the 4th gen comes out.

Any reviews on the cheap Amazon fog lights? I think $56.99.

I changed my Spark plugs a few weeks ago and found a decent amount of oil in a few of the plug shafts.
So I guess I'll be tearing apart the top side of the engine to replace the Valve Cover Gaskets and plug Gaskets this weekend.
While we are in there, I went ahead and ordered these from URD, and they showed up today. Super fast shipping, and came with detailed instructions that will no doubt come in handy for the install. Kind of nervous since there isn't any real margin for error when dealing with timing, but I'm pretty excited for a little added performance and increased MPG. @Gadget@URD

I had a pre-gen, a 1st gen, a 2nd gen, then for 5.5 years I had a 3rd gen Sport. Was a beaute too. No crying here because I SOLD THE 3RD GEN, then I bought 2 more 2nd gens. The only thing I really miss about the 3rd gen is the 18 city mpg and 25 hwy mpg. So it WAS good for something and it was pretty. So now every time I power past a 3rd gen I think to myself "he might be slow but he is getting good mpg". Then I smile as I see his headlights fading away in my rearview mirror (smiles per gallon). Now when I want the killer mpg I just drive my ecoboost 4 banger SUV that has more get-up-and-go than my 3rd gen had. Sad but very true.

Yeah I drive my 2017 Prius when I want killer mpg. 50 plus instead of maybe 18 in the taco.

Yeah sorry, I just can't do the Prius thing. I did have a couple of Corollas back in the 1980's though. The SUV is all loaded up with features and has its benefits but still gets 30'ish. It is the airport taxi for the family and my grocery getter. I don't just let anyone ride in elTaco.

I’d sure like to know where this guys get all the low mileage Toyota’s from. They always have them and listed for outrageous prices.

it’s just that particular dealership. Not sure what’s so special about an automatic on 33’s with a diff drop.

the fact their name has “motorsports” in it is a red flag

And I ride my 2021 CRF300L getting 68 smiles per gallon. Of course, it is winter so good gear is a must.

Yeah it might be legit but it could also totally be fake you know. When I was scrolling through though, my socks just about blew off when I saw it.

I took some cardboard and made a general template, then cut that shape out of 1/4 scrap aluminum with a port-a-band shaped it up with a flap disk then bent it into shape with a bench vise and hammer.

It's attached through one bolt that I replaced with a longer one to the bracket for pulling the engine out and it's wide enough that it touches both sides of the C channel of the engine bracket so it doesn't rotate or come loose then I drilled and tapped the aluminum plate to mount the actual catch can to it.

I wouldn't call it pretty but it's functional, a lot of stuff like that on my truck.

    :notsure:
