well my 2.7L four banger idles real rough some times. it mainly when i come to red lights and am sitting. if i leave the truck in drive the thing turn into a giant vibrator. when i pop it in neutral i notice that it only vibrates when it idles below 800rpm. is there any way to turn up the idle slightly or fix this problem?

I've had the same problem since day 1. It's normal. The engine puts stress on the drivetrain trying to turn the ds and rear end... causing vibrations. Of course when it's in nuetral there is no stress... Kinda make sense now that it's explained?

i already do that but i shouldnt vibrate so bad i feel like the truck is gonna fall apart. if the O2 sensor was causing the problem wouldn't it have throw a check engine light?

my 01 4 banger has been doing this for about the last 4 years (i cant remember if it did that before then but if it did im sure i would have noticed it) and i am out of options on how to fix it. ive learned to live with it even though it is still annoying as hell, not sure if mine does it in park but it does it in D and N when the rpms are settled at about 700, if something like the compressor kicks on and raises the rpms then it will stop until it settles back down. i have tried everything! maybe its either a worm motor mount or small vacuum/exhaust leak that i cant find
*i had the o2 sensors replaced a year ago and it hasnt changed anything
