Check my build thread...too much to list.
I'm over giggling like a little school girl because someone doesn't know the experience behind the people they're poking.

    Too many to remember
Obviously I’m getting trolled by you at this point... no way you have a super successful off-road YouTube channel and don’t know how to answer these questions.

I was just asking an honest question regarding travel numbers and it’s too bad you felt the need to fu*k with me

    Alright.
There is a big lesson to be learned here. Everyone expects the youtuber to act like a priest when answering questions but the second I ask for specific data, specific instructions or challenge your narrative in any way... you fold.
I came here for community. I joined the forum to ask questions about my truck and find knowledgeable people to befriend. I then discovered 6+ pages about me in this RCLT thread and made myself available to answer any question about the truck. I'm serious about hitting the trails with you guys and I'm serious about me not taking this personally lol. Remember, I answer comments for a living! There is nothing you can say that is going to be new for me . I get death threats because I build shit in my shop and video it!

Someone claimed I have less wheel travel than stock. I say proove it. They claim you can see it. So I suggest an RTI ramp to give you data. That's not good enough. You ask for wheel travel numbers. I ask how you want me to get said numbers. Now I'm being called a troll. I'm clearly doing my best to meet you guys in the middle here.
One thing is certain. Lots of context is lost via text. Just because you challenge me and I challenge you back doesn't mean I'm your enemy. This is why I'm trying to meet some of you on a trail. I guarantee you wouldn't look at me as the enemy if we met. So my offer still stands for ANY of you. Let's go wheeling. I'm finding some deep snow in my Taco this weekend and all of you are welcome to join. You can check out the truck person and the negative opinions about me in this forum will certainly fade away. I'm happy to meet any of you in person to analyze this truck and have some laughs on a trail somewhere.

Now, I have to stop spending time on this forum for a bit and I have to get back to work. I will return as soon as I can.
Maybe we can return to questions about the RCLT? Again I will try to be back in the next couple days.

Hey @DirtlifestyleNate, thanks for posting on TW.
How are those little RCLT bumpstops working out?
Figure I'll use them at first too.
Do you think you'll stick with those 8112s and the spacers?

Looking forward to seeing your numbers on the front.
Think I'll trim about the same as you did in the front to start.
    I'm only going 37s.

droop the rear out and measure from your frame bump pad to the top of the timbren. Maybe someone will chime in on how much the timbrens compress and add that to your measurement. Snap a few pics.

Pay for my fuel bill and I'll drag the XJ out with my Tacoma wheel both at Elerbe with you then haul them home. It's just a short 40something Hr ride and like 100 fuel stops

    Yes
    Nate,
Wheel travel is measured from bump to strap ( if you have straps ) as follows :

    1. Pull your CO's off & remove the springs
    2. Put the CO's back on
    3. Let your axle droop all the way out
    4. Measure from the floor to a fixed point ie: rotate your studs so that one is bottom dead center
    5. Put a jack under the rear axle and jack it up to full bump and repeat the measurement
    6. Subtract the first # from the second # ie: 30" - 15" = 15" of wheel travel bumped and strapped ( ie: my 3 link is 20" & most popular spring under kits hit 19" )

I think that what are lot of folks are intending to comment on but not being descriptive enough or straight forward enough about is that you keep mentioning packaging constraints being a factor in your design however some of us are not seeing those same constraints on our 3 link set ups and are identifying your design and choices of prefab items such as the CO towers you used as the constraining factors. In addition the amount of wheel travel that you have in the rear end is clearly visibly less than " normal ". It is important to understand that Youtube guys whether you like it or not kind of fulfill a role model position in modern society so if a bunch of self professed Taco experts feel like your design has some flaws or lack of performance there is naturally going to be pushback or challenging going on.

    IE:

    • The coil over towers you used and where you located them are severely limiting articulation
    • The combo of coil over towers and coil overs you used do not allow for maximum travel of articulation
    • The CO towers are not tied into a bed cage or cross brace
    • The frame side pan hard mount not being tied into anything
    • Using the OE front leaf spring perch creates an extremely short link which causes a lot of problematic long travel performance issues and drive shaft plunge
    • The relationships of your upper and lower links vs performance characteristics
    • Position of pan hard at ride height
I think it would help if you told everyone your actual wheel travel #'s and also plugged your stats into this 3 link calculator so that everyone could see the performance characteristics of your design. Those two items are really a great "facts only " wat to compare designs and performance :

    https://www.crawlpedia.com/files/3_link_calculator.xls

Here is an example of why some folks are questioning your design, your up travel appears to be severely limited as compared to some other 3 link designs :

I'd be curious to see your design plugged into the calculator as well for comparison

All things considered, I think he as a good attitude. A person probably has to have a great attitude when their day job rotates around social media. He came here and found people picking his setup apart and didn't explode. That counts for something. As for geometry, travel, durability, etc. I have no clue; I'm just watching the madness.
