Nah, I rarely go to Seattle side of Lake Washington. But I work in the Eastside (Issaquah) if that works for you.

Aloha, anyone in Western Washington have experience installing suspensions? I will pay someone to do it. I called a couple shops that will not install if I didn't buy the suspension from them. I have OME BP-51 with Heavy Duty leaf springs, shims to go on top of the front coilovers that add one inch, Sumo Springs bump stops for front and back, and Camburg Kinetik Series upper control arms. I even have the tools to complete it but can't find any real good step by step instructions. Thanks!

I had no experience prior to installing my suspension. I used the vids below and the torque spec guide and it was really straightforward. If you’re feeling overwhelmed at the thought of doing this alone I’m sure someone here will gladly help out (I would but I’m out of town for the next 4 weeks).

Yeah I can do it, I'm a little busy this weekend/next week with a couple other people but should be free to do it after that. Message me if you're interested!

Speaking of suspension. I have some 5100's, ome 887 and new strut mounts. How much should I expect to pay a shop to assemble them? Im going to be swapping them out this weekend and would like to have the whole strut pre assembled.

You could just rent (borrow) a compressor tool from the auto parts store and do it yourself....otherwise I suspect the minimum 1hr shop fee

Yeah if possible I wanted to skip the spring compressor step. Would be nice to just pull out complete strut assembly and install a pre assembled one if that makes sense

Any of these cause for concern?

changing the front and rear diff fluids and t case and I noticed this

    1. Small seep. No

    36EFF7CF-020F-4849-A17C-45558AF05767.jpg

then the t case washers don’t seem to by the same size as the ones I just removed. My gut* is telling me they’re fine. Wanted to confirm with the tw experts.

i stacked the washers on one another. Hard to see. It’s not that much of a difference. 695F3D42-BFF5-4C79-9FDA-804F139BDC04.jpg7F7952E2-D9A3-47AA-890C-31822CD67896.jpg

Has anyone in PNW used R.P.M. Performance in Burlington, WA before? Looking at having them do my suspension upgrade.

Looking for a recommendation for a mechanic that works with off road suspension in the Seattle area. Getting some vibration after suspension upgrades. Thank you!

Absolutely. Thanks for mulling this problem over for me.

Front Struts: OME Coils/Bilstein 5100 set on the third setting. Added about 2.5" lift to the front
Rear Shocks/Leaf Springs: Bilstein 5100 extendable shocks. Deaver Expedition Series Stage 3. Added about 3.5" lift to the rear.

Vibrations started happening right after the suspension upgrade. I added a Toytec 3 degree shim to the leaf springs. That helped some. Then I replaced the needle bearing with the ECGS bushing and that had no effect on the truck. I'm currently experiencing a vibration and "grinding" noise around 80mph and at about 3000-3500 rpm. I don't get up to that speed all that often but I travel through Montana few times a year. I'm worried about long term degradation. The "grinding" noise is less so actual grinding and more so an odd noise that is coming out of my drivetrain. It's a puzzle I can't quite figure out. I was thinking maybe the rear diff is still at conflicting angle.

Any chance a carrier bearing drop kit might help?

+1 for carrier bearing drop. Affects some people after a lift.

Did that too. OME drive shaft carrier bearing drop. Forgot to list that above too.
