2011 interior light by gear shifter

I have a 2011 automatic I haven’t drove it much lately much less at night. Well last night I was driving snd I notice their is no light illuminating around the gear shifter lighting up what gear you are in. Is their suppose to be a light under the letters or not I can’t remember it’s been so long since I drove it at night.

 

I don't think my 08 has that either, but it shows on dash cluster what gear I'm in, is that how yours is?

 

Heck I don’t remember I need to go look.

 

Yes, there is supposed to be a light there.
And it has a amber sleeve on it to make it amber.

It’s a build pop it off and change it. Easy stuff here. If the console is the one your talking about
