I believe so but I don't think in the way you're describing. I don't know for sure though, I've been pretty fortunate with my vehicles and haven't had any serious issues so I'm not well versed on stuff like that.

Were there any other symptoms, like headlights were dim or flickering? Did it take a while to start because it was slow cranking and the starter was clicking or just took longer than normal to start but cranked as it should?

I noticed the inside lights flicker this morning, and after this video ended the check engine light came on... which is a weird thing to happy about haha. Gotta get it somewhere and hopefully the code will answer all

I’ll be curious to see. I wonder if it’s the crank position sensor issue that plagues some third gens.

Yep, here you go. They’ve definitely helped with the pinstripes and I’m glad I got them. Matt, the owner of GOAT, was also really cool to work with. I think they’ve had some updates to the material since I got these - my set was one of the originals back in 2018 when black was the only option

I’ve actually got a set just of just the top on the front two doors for de-badged doors if you’re interested in seeing how they work. There was a mix up when I ordered and they had sent me the wrong ones. Matt corrected and sent me a set for the badged doors and I haven’t had a need for the other set.

    I think it’s saying “P107B”. 0D67FDCA-0EF3-46FA-97AB-C44440722C6D.jpg

There are six whole posts on this site, yours included, that have "P107B" in them. Welcome to the elite brotherhood. Honestly I would let a dealer deal with it.

I wonder if this is in anyway related to the fuel pump issue that effects some highlanders.

    https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2020/MC-10176696-9999.pdf

edit: After some reading on a rav4 forum, someone there had the same code and it ended up being the fuel pump as well. Should be covered under the powertrain warranty so dealer is what I would do.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
I've been thinking about the GOAT option. I couldn't tell what that was from the first pic. I was thinking about shooting some vinyl down the side to see if that helped. Thx for the pic, it helps visualize what the vinyl would look like. Wheels are tires will probably happen before anything else.

The service tech seemed confident it was the purge valve over the phone...I'll probably check the PCV valve & purge valve (seems simple enough) and if that doesn't solve anything look at O2 sensors/harder to reach stuff. I'm a mole hair away from 60k/60mo and the tech mentioned it's likely not a powertrain issue but related to emissions. If so, it wouldn't covered even if I did get it in before I hit 60k/60mo.

I appreciate the info, it's helped me narrow down what might be causing the issues. Hopefully I'll go out an it'll just be a stuck PCV valve:fingerscrossed:
