I am so lost. my 2007 Tacoma Trd sport with 4.0 v6 has been running so weird. the problem is off and on and comes on randomly. the problem is the motor is struggling to rev up and is extremely sluggish especially between 2,500k and 4,000k rpm but like I said its off and on so for one minute it runs great and revs smooth and quick then changes to slow and feels like the motor is about seize up. so far i have replaced the spark plugs, coil packs, MAF sensor and have put injector cleaner through the tank twice. The truck throes no codes and starts easy enough I am just so confused and need some help. Any Ideas?

    how many miles?

Did you clean the actual throttle body?
    New engine air filter?
Disconnect battery for 15 and hook back up?

There are a ton of variables here. When you fired up the parts cannon, did you use OEM coils and an OEM MAF sensor? Did you replace with Denso plugs? Have you cleaned the throttle body? Have you checked for potential vacuum leaks?

Clean the throttle body? Air filter shouldn’t cause sporadic performance but changing it is simple and cheap enough.

The Maf Sensor is a Denso The Plugs and coils are NGK, But wouldn't a vacuum leak throw a code?

They make “throttle body” cleaner, ~$7 spray can. Taking the throttle body off can be a PITA.

No, not necessarily. Clean the throttle body and see if there's improvement. CRC makes a good one for 8-10 dollars a can. You don't have to remove the throttle body, you can clean it on the truck. Get an old toothbrush to scrub with.

You may experience a slightly high idle right after cleaning while the engine burns off any residual cleaner. You're welcome! Report back to us. We will be glad to help as best we can.

Check for rodent damage. Start under the engine cover and work your way down
