 It's not often that I have accurate information, but every once in awhile it turns out I know something and I'm not wrong.

I remember when I went to 35s on my 09 off-road manual I think the speedo was reading faster than what I was actually going, then I re-geared to 4.56s and the speedo then read slower. So going 75 was showing 70~ on the speedo.
Orrrr it might of been the opposite and read slower with 35s and faster with 35s and gears

With 4.56s and 35s, my speedo reads about 10% slower than my actual speed according to GPS. When the speedo reads 75, I'm going about 68 according to GPS. I always try to go at least 5 mph over the limit when I'm above 40mph to avoid tailgaters, high beamers, nasty looks, and middle fingers as they pass me.

That sounds right if I remember from the FJ case / crawl box threads. I just don't know if we ever figured out what year it switched over to wheels, even for manuals.

    While we're on this discussion...

Anyone ever used one of the hypertech speedo calibrators? I don't like the speedo/odo being off. Wish it was as easy as a $15 gear on the 1st gen.

I got the Dakota digital box for mine. Used an old write up for it that is no where to be found anymore but it was for a manual. Not sure what u got on your 2nd gen. Let me look around and see if I might be able to find the write up

Mine must be at the wheel then because it’s an auto and I put an FJ t case in it and I don’t remember a sensor on the t case.

Long shot, but was anyone around I25 and Hwy 24/Cimmaron down in Colorado Springs this morning?
Got hit on my way to work and can't make the license out in my dash cam video.
