i thought I did pretty good for not holding a stinger for ten years.
    I couldn’t see the puddle.
Finally the new helmets are adjustable lenses so I can dial in my own setting.
So thanks to another TW member I got some insight on this helmet.

It works fantastic. Makes me look good too. Lol.So I really enjoyed welding this up. Felt good not to have lost a skill I had.
All about muscle memory so I know I can still do it. I just need to practice to get consistent…

:pccoffee:  I could weld and braze, once, a loooonnnngggg time ago. I can still solder pretty well because I still do it fairly regularly, but I haven't exercised the other skills in so many years that I don't even remember the first thing about them. What's the old man line? "I've forgotten more than you'll ever know!" Guess I have to pull that one out now.

I saw the menu and you had me with the first appetizer. I eat a wider variety of food now and my taste buds have changed again. Beer does not taste as good or as refreshing as it used too but, I sure do like a good well made Mojito these days,

I should have learned to weld when I was younger. I have tried to find a welding course but none exist for us seniors. Everything is a school curriculum designed to employ younger persons and cost around 6K. You did a nice looking job on the JD.

I can feel my youth slipping away.

Get ready for the weekend ladies and gentlemen. Shopping at HT this morning then a double guitar practice session today.

Last full day on vacation and not looking forward to heading home tomorrow. But tax time awaits. Spent St. Patty's night at a bar called Fat Tony's. Good booze and good entertainment. Never heard some Irish songs played on a steel drum. Interesting.20220317_210548.jpg

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gals! Looks like a good day to expose the green in the lawn! Never did rain yesterday, just drizzled, but I got all the electronics done. Still have to put up a little wall shelf in the BR, and improve the stand in then DR. Have to say, I wasn't expecting a lot changing out old land line phone, as it really looked like just programming some new VTech and exchanging the old Panasonic. But modern stuff is inside these things now, and out of the box, they trapped and disposed of 18 robo-calls yesterday - without even doing it's programming that will get more! Said it would block calls, but I didn't really believe it. It was QUIET around here! If you got an old land line phone, and are bothered - look into something like these! (Of course, if you're not home in the daytime, you probably don't care!) Amazon.com : VTECH IS8121-4 Super Long Range up to 2300 Feet DECT 6.0 Bluetooth 4 Handset Cordless Phone for Home with Answering Machine, Call Blocking, Connect to Cell, Intercom and Expandable to 5 Handsets : Office Products

The worst thing about this new stuff, is that they save paper by giving you bare bones instructions, and you have to go on-line. The TV operation is a little "finicky" to an old fart, more in tune with younger menu button loving folks, but we'll get used to it.

Company coming for dinner tonight, so happy Friday all! :proposetoast:

We've got a VTECH set-up similar to that. Have had it about a year now - works well.

Funniest thing about setting it up - it's a "HOME" phone. Never say land line! We had to learn new words....

    Evening all:

Decided today was air up day, I can't believe how much time it takes to check and put air in all of the tires that are on various things. Of course it doesn't help when I need reading glasses, a magnifying glass, and a light to see what the recommended pressure is for each type of tire, and then still have trouble reading it!

Wish I could get some $3.99 gas. Drove by a Chevron station today, regular $6.49. I will say no more as I don’t want to get myself in trouble.

Good morning fellow Porchatonians! We had a gorgeous day here, yesterday - topped out at about 70 and sunny after the fog cleared in the morning. Rain today, though.

I took the re-cycling to the collection point, washed the truck and just enjoyed the warm sun.

    Stay safe out there.

    Morning.
    Gym Day.
    Not…
    I’m dam sore all over.
    Don’t know why.

Errands and Dog and Chicken checks today and tomorrow..

    No upcoming Garage Projects.

Gotta figure out the paint prep and paint type for the winch frame.
I’ll paint it when I remove it for the summer.
I think the obvious color is semi gloss black..
Thinking maybe hammerite. Used it before but it takes like 3 days to dry.
But since it’s not going back on for like 8 months I think I’ll be all set. Lol
While I take it off I’ll make a quick wood bumper for it and then the next time I take it off the
Riser and cross plate I’ll Leave the lower support plates on and just install the bumper.

Safe travels home Ken. Nice pic!

I turned off the land line a few months back because of the Robo calls and pressure from son and wife. Do not regret the decision.

Is that a reduction in cost for your area? Put gas in the wife's car this week at $3.96 a gal. Last week gas in my truck cost $4.15 a gal. The price seems to be going down. I live in Maryland right outside DC.

Daym, that is expensive. I know California has high gas taxes but that is ridiculous.
Gas prices are difficult to understand and the amount of work to get the oil, then have it processed and to be able to pump into your vehicle is a complex subject. Everyone wants to be paid for their labor.

Welcome to Saturday. I do not know what is in store for me today, but I will go with the flow. I do need to rebuild the pond pressure flow filter and swap out the glass for a screen in the storm door. Ribeye's for dinner tonight with green beans and half a baked potato. Everyone enjoy the day.

Not that I have seen. I am not in town more than once or twice a week, but $4.059 is as high as I as I have seen it.

Will mentioning the word "California" get me in trouble? :)
