@Matic gimme your thoughts, man. I love Pearl and Zildjian together. I like that this has the seat, stands, cymbals, pretty much everything except a pair of sticks. Seems like a good price. Might piss the neighbors off, butt fuck em. I know we talked about electric sets a while back...

I’m a gretsch guy but that looks like a nice set. Lotta bang for the buck. Also, bonus points for that color

 

I love the color! I think it would be a great starter set, but I haven't actively played in nearly 30 years, so second opinions and all that are very much appreciated! My two boys have been plucking at the 6 string we picked up from @Matic and are starting to not sound horrible with it.

I'm definitely a Pearl guy, but don't mind Tama. Zildjian and Sabian for cymbals. I've had a couple of nice sounding rides from Sabian in the past, but for crash and hats, Zildjian all the way.

 

Ok so I can only recall playing a set of Pearls once, maybe twice before. I’ve played a buddy’s Tama’s quite a few times but any set I’ve ever bought has been Gretsch. And yes, zidljian is always a solid choice. I’ve always wanted a 22in K ride.

Currently have all Bosphorus cymbals, got more $$$ in my cymbals than all the drums and hardware combined lol. My thinking has always been, you can make any drum sound decent, but can’t cover up a shitty sounding cymbal.
