I agree, it's most likely an aftermarket alarm.

If you bought from a small used car dealer, it "could" instead be a tracker. If you were to default on payments, this would help them track the truck down.

Gotta make a acct do dump photos in tonight to load them. Got a 21 TRD off-road premium a couple months ago. 1st got the windows tinted and some clear bra on the front of hood , fenders and the door pockets. Took it off-road day 1 to see how it stacked up to my 19 pro 4x frontier. Like the Tacoma but what garbage tires it came with. So I got some TRD pro flat bronze 17” rims from Toyota with my shop discount. Then got a steal on some Firestone destination cut 275/70r17’s for $200 each after install. Rubbed the mud flaps and was ok. Just got the TRD 2” lift done at Toyota so I can keep the warranty. With my discount it wasn’t much diff than a set of reg 5100’s and a pro grill. Love the truck now. This is how it should have come from the factory as a TRD off-road.

I’m pretty certain it’s a Karr brand auto alarm. Many dealerships have them installed on all their vehicles…then they attempt to sell it to the customers, If no they deactivate it.

just searched and found MANY with the same question on numerous forums, seems to be common.

How easy/difficult were the Clazzios seat covers to install? How long did it take you to install? And did you add the heaters?

Im like 3 or 4 useless appearance mods away from finally being ready to pop the curb at my local mall. I’m serious too, they’re coming in soon, my depravity knows no bounds and I can’t even wait.

Didn’t add the heaters as I have stock heaters but really wasn’t nearly as bad as most of the drama queens in the Clazzio thread make it seem. Unbolt the seats (really, do it) and it takes about 45 minutes a side - did it by myself but would probably go faster with an extra set of hands. Get cowboy with the plastic jamming tool around the headrest connectors, other than that, the headrest itself is a bit of a PITA to do by yourself - just kneeled on the foam and went slow.

cinch with the material not the flimsy straps and you should be fine

edit: I did one side one night and the other the next day, clip your fingernails beforehand
