Definitely do not use the adhesive on the led light. I already made that mistake with my 2nd gen. After about a week it starts peeling off snd turns into a mess. Get 1/4 inch

3M VHB tape from Amazon, should be $10. The "3M" that comes with the led strip is garbage. I put the vhb on the rail first, then the led strip, went around with a towel to push it down to get adhesion and bamm you got a solid connection

 

set on first notch, maxtrac 1.5 block out back for now, and 265/70/17 wildpeak tires

Awesome! Thanks for the link, that has some really good info. I’ve watched a few install videos and saw that there is the “through the fender” and “remove the grille” methods of installation.

Seems like getting them aimed properly is the biggest hassle.

i just got my behind the grill arb compressor mount but have not put it in.. seems pretty straight forward and easy.. you have any issues?

Haha, fair enough. On the left is a Redarc charge controller, center is a diesel heater, right it the fuel tank for it. Its all crammed in this cabinet in the right side of the bed.

Nope. Just make sure you watch when you drill into the radiator support. Put a depth limiter on the bit (in a pinch, a strip of electrical tape will do) and make sure you mark it and check it a few times before you drill. Make a small pilot hole before you drill the big hole. Took me about 45 minutes and I was being very careful.

 

Thanks. Mine are set on first notch as well. Have a 3 leaf aal and 1/2" shim to keep factory rake. Running same size tire but in KO2's. Looking forward to eventually installing the lift.
