    x2... on the truck caps!!!
If you only knew how much a steal it really was!!! I cannot wait to actually start putting stuff in there. I was thinking about getting a big truck box or something I can bolt down and lock to keep some of my tools in. Its an addiction. You buy one thing to solve one problem, but now I want a locking box, and my side windows blacked out so no one can see in. Does it ever stop???

Since I have my Jeep to haul the dogs with, I decided not to go with a cap. However, the alternator is out (have a new one and installing it this weekend...bah high output) so it would be nice to have a cap to get the dogs around. They are stuck at the house until the Jeep is running again!

hey everyone, i started a thread that i would like a little input on. after looking and looking i am sure that the rear shackle hangers on the 5-lug and 6-lug 2nd gens are the same. if it is then this opens a whole new option for adding some height to the often over looked 5-lugs.

if anyone is so inclined please leave your input.

    thanks

mods if this is against the rules sorry.

So ive talked about the leaf TSB before.

The TSB was done by previous owner around 22k. The shocks have been replaced, but still has only 3leaf rears.

Now, Ive heard stories of people bottoming out with semi light loads, 600lbs. Now I had to help my boss take some stuff out of a storage unit, all papers. According the the scale I was on. I had 1160lbs in the bed and cab, of boxes of paper.

But I still had almost 1.5 inches before the bump stops would be hitting on level ground. And never once had a problem driving. Drove really good. Still had good gap in between tire and rear fenders. Wish I would have gotten a picture.

I wish I had a beater for stuff like that, my dogs dont give me the option to leave without them. As soon as the garage door opens they bolt out the door. Then if I dont take them with me, I feel guilty b/c they cry when I leave :(

    How ya been?

Your lucky, before I put my AAL in, my truck was bottoming out w/ no weight in the bed at all.

Thanks, I'll check it out. I'm looking for the just the back as I think mine are shot.

    Hi
Not too much other than working and getting ready for taxes. :sadviolin:

You know, when my dogs were pups, they used to do that. Now, if I have to leave without them, I am quick with goodbyes. It seems to work well because they don't get any anxiety with a drawnout bye bye. But, I wish I could take them all them time!

mine too. i had to replace the front screen door with a solid glass and steel one. my wife leaves the door open so they can see out when it's about time for me to arrive home after work. the doberman just can't contain herself and i was tired of repainting the door and replacing the screens.

I had to do the same thing. Last spring I put the screen in storm door for the breeze, and Layla got a little to excited when I left and busted thru. She followed me down the street. Thank god I saw her and stopped. After that I had to put the glass back in.

These will go quickly I'm sure, GL w/ the trade.

What do you think a good price is on them?

I think Im going to go with the Michelin LTX A/T2 whatcha think? Supposedly wears good and better mpg yay!

Thinking about a highway terrain, since I dont hit the dirt to much but incase I would hit the dirt I would want something that wont get me in trouble.

    Advice?

not sure what you can get out of them, but you might consider the Kumhos i am running. they are great and i will keep buying them until the are discontinued. i have done the math and for me the MPG went up. yes i am still getting the same numbers, but now that they are larger and heavier than stock, getting the same MPG is an increase in my book. there are a few reviews on tirerack where another tacoma owner switched to them from the BFGs that are so popular and his MPG jumped. i am sure that i read on kumho's site that they are designed to get you better milage and still have respectable manners no matter what you throw at them. sorry but i don't know much about the michelins.

i would assume that you could at least break even since you did get the buddy deal to begin with when you bought your duratecs.
